DB Proxy: A Dynamic Data Cache for Database Application
-Akshay S. Mahulkar ; Kiran P. Deshmukh; Komal M. Kakde; Minal Dhore; Prachi V. Kale
The majority of applications served today are generated dynamically, usually by an application server querying a back-end database. As dynamic content becomes increasingly dominant, it becomes an important research topic as how the edge resources such as client- side proxies, which are otherwise underutilized for such content, can be put into use to enhance the scalability of dynamic content serving in large application servers are offloaded to front-end nodes, called edge servers. The improvement from such application offloading is marginal, however, if data is still fetched from the origin database system. To further improve scalability and cut response times, data must be effectively cached on such edge servers. The scale of deployment of edge servers and the rising costs of their administration demand that such caches be self-managing and adaptive. DB Proxy, an edge-of-network semantic data cache for web applications. DB Proxy is designed to fetch the request send from the client and check whether the request made by the client is already present or not. If request is already present at proxy server then it will send the response to the client rather than sending that request to the database which will improve the performance of the database by releasing the workload of it. Effect of Transverse Low Velocity Impact Damage on Torsional and Bending Strength and Effect of Chemical Reactivity of Hybrid Aluminium/Composite Tubes - A Review
-Ravi Singh ; Prof. U. K. Joshi
The major reasons for switching toward composite materials are due to their properties of higher specific stiffness, strength and performance that are comparable with conventional materials. Nowadays, the use of composite materials in our lives has become very common and these are found application as drive shaft, building and infrastructural system, landing gears for helicopters, furniture, transportation, rocket structures, tube structures for sports equipment, , truss structures, robot arms. Low velocity Impact damage during the service life of structures made up of composite materials is a major importance since its mechanical strength can be tremendously reduced as a result of such damage. Recently the interest of researchers has been directed towards on low velocity impact damage and the prediction of residual strengths of damaged fiber-reinforced composite materials, using them as potential substitutes for metals. These statistics indicate that this is a very dynamic area of research, and the main focus of present article seeks to provide comprehensive review of previous and recent research work published on torsional and bending strength of hybrid composite structures after low velocity impact damage. Fabric of carbon/glass wound around the aluminum tube by the use Araldite Epoxy and Hardener. A Review Paper on Studies and Research on Gold Recovery Cyanidation Process through Adsorption on Activated Carbon
-Sakshi Sahu ; Rusechana Devi; Vivek Yadav; Sandeep Pal; Ashutosh Mishra
The use of gold adsorption by activated carbon has recently become widespread .This has caused a great deal of interest in the kinetics of gold adsorption onto activated carbon. Coconut shells are the most widely used raw material for the production of activated carbon suitable for gold production by cyanide leaching. The purpose of this review paper is to describe in simple terms what activated carbon is all about and how it adsorbs gold. The understanding of the mechanism of gold adsorption is important because the Carbon in pulp/Carbon-in-Leach processes work as a result of the gold adsorption mechanism, which is a chemical occurrence the mechanism appears to have an initial adsorption stage that involves the adsorption of an ion pair: Mn+[Au(CN)-2]n , where Mn+ is a metal ion (for example Na+, K+and Ca2+) that has a lower solubility than the Au(CN)-2 anion in the adsorption medium, followed by a reduction step in which either a sub-stoichiometric Au(CN)x surface species or a cluster-type compound of gold is formed. -Mihir M. Nandani ; Yogeshkumar V. Akbari
The dead load of concrete works could promote higher structural cost in project in mega structure. With using natural aggregate, it is difficult to achieve optimum density of concrete. So the Expanded Clay Lightweight Aggregate (ECLA) concrete is a use-full to solve this problem. Use of ECLA that has good workability and density is better than the normal concrete. On this research using of expanded clay lightweight aggregate in normal concrete give better workability and also satisfy strength of concrete. The expanded clay lightweight aggregate is artificial aggregate which manufactured by companies using mine clay as raw material. The experimental of using ECLA partial replacement of natural coarse aggregate will explore in this research. An experimental study is made by preparing specimens by utilizing ECLA as partial replacement of natural aggregate in normal concrete with a percentage replacement from 0% to 40% i.e. (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%). Test on fresh concrete is slump and compaction factor for all trial mixes. Conventional specimens are also prepared for M25 Concrete without using ECLA. By conducting tests for both the specimens the properties of concrete. This study ensures that using of ECLA as partial replacement of natural coarse aggregate in concrete gives a good approach to reduce cost saving in mega structure and achieve the better properties of normal concrete. -Santosh Patil ; Dr. N. G. Narve; Prof. V. L. Munde
Aluminum -SiC metal matrix composites were fabricated by using liquid metallurgy route. To improve the interfacial bonding between the Al and SiC, an attempt has been made to coat the SiC particles with Nickel. Electroless process was used for coating the reinforced particle. This surface hardness modification due to electroless coating on SiC particles was confirmed with Microhardness Tester. Processing parameters such as temperature, bath concentration, time, and reheating temperature were optimized. SiC content in Al-SiC MMC were taken from 10 to 30 % and effect of Ni coating was studied using hardness measurements. Influence of coated SiC particles in Al-SiC showed significant improvement in hardness values. As a result, the hardness values of Al-SiC (Ni) exhibited better hardness values as compared to Al-ENP. As expected, high SiC content in types of Al-SiC MMCs showed high hardness values as compared to low SiC content and base alloy. The present investigation suggests that ENP SIC coating on Al material are more suitable as compared to ENP coating on Al material. Read More...

Use of Root Zone Technology for Aquatic Life and Organic Farming
-Sanket Prakash Dikekar ; Bandal Rohit A.; Bhagat Santosh B.; Dhaigude Sagar A.; Bhapkar Nikhil S.
Water quality, reuse and recycling is a major challenge in the world now a days. The rapid urbanization has resulted in pollution of fresh water bodies due to increase in the generation of domestic waste, sewage, industrial waste etc. In this treatment process domestic (kitchen waste) waste will be used in fish production than this fish tank water used in root zone treatment and organic farming creation and bath waste also used in root zone treatment plant get filter then and get used for farming. That excesses water should pass through soil layer (double filtrations). Aquaponic is the combined culture of fish and plants in recirculating systems. Nutrients, which are excreted directly by the fish or generated by the microbial breakdown of organic wastes, are absorbed by plants growing in the hydroponic system. Fish feed provides most of the nutrients required for plant growth. As the aquaculture effluent flows through the hydroponic component of the recirculating system, fish waste are removed by nitrification where the excreta is converted to nitrites and nitrates and direct uptake by the plants, thereby treating the water, which flows back to the fish tank for reuse. Some physico-chemical parameter namely dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), nitrate and phosphate were analyzed using standard methods. The treated water from the system can be used for recreational activities like washing clothes, fishing, swimming, irrigation etc. Read More...

Effect of Material Composition and Processes Parameters on Micro-Structure and Mechanical Properties for Ductile Iron Pipe
-Mr. Paras A. Pandya ; Mr. Hemanshu D. Joshi; Mr. Karan B. Thacker
Casting processes are widely used to produce complicated metal shapes with little or no further machining, in a very economical way. Foundry industries in developing countries suffer from poor quality and productivity due to involvement of number of process parameter. Ductile iron pipes are casted centrifugally by using centrifugal casting machine. The quality of the pipe largely depends on its microstructure and mechanical properties. Even in completely controlled process, it is challenging to produce a better quality of pipe hence this casting process is also known as process of uncertainty. Major of the ductile iron pipe quality depends on the microstructure and mechanical properties like Ferrite percentage, Nodule count per square meter, elongation percentage and hardness. All these result are largely depending on the process parameters like magnesium percentage, Inlet cooling water flow rate and holding time of the pipe in annealing furnace. For analyze and optimize the Process Parameters Design of Experiments (DOE) based Taguchi Method is use. Read More...

In past few years, user review of any online product or service has been seen as important resource of customer opinion. Existing research has been focused used on extraction, classification and summarization of opinion from reviews in websites, forums and blogs. Now-a-days consumer can obtain information for products and accommodation from online review resources, which can avail them make decision. The social tools provided by the content sharing applications allow online user to interact, to express their opinions and to read opinions from other users. But the spammers provide comments which are written intentionally to mislead users by redirecting them to web sites to increase their rating and to promote products less known on the market. Reading spam comments is a bad experience and a waste of time for most of the online users but can also be harming and cause damage to the reader. Several researchers in this field focused on only fake comments. But, our goal is to detect fake comments which are likely to represent spam considering some indicators like a discontinuous own of text, inadequate and vulgar language or not related to the specific context will helps in giving correct feedback of various customers reviews about given product, Mainly we have observed that previous work is focused on extraction, classification and summarization of opinion and checking of spam and non-spam. In our Project we have made digital fuel meter. Here, we are indicating amount of fuel present in tank digitally. That value is in numerical digits (ex: 1lit, 1.5 lit, 2lit etc.). Fuel Thefting is also measure problem all over the world. This is real time occurring process. But in our system we can overcome above problem by using digital meter. A number of petrol pump in now a days are manipulated in this way that it displays the fuel amount as filled, but in real sense the fuel filled quantity in the tank of the customer is very less than the value of displayed amount. This petrol pumps results in great profit for the petrol pump owner, but at same time customers are being cheated. In India about to all two wheelers vehicles consists of analog meters. This analog meter does not help in precise quantity of fuel currently in the fuel tank of the vehicles, and in this way it does not help in cross- checking the amount of fuel filled at the petrol pump. Evaluation of Contractor's Prequalification using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method
-Bhoir Sahil Vilas ; Bhumbre Vishal Suresh; Dhiraniya Ashutosh; Golve Kailas Parmeshwar; Avhad Manoj R.
In order to enhance the performance levels of selected contractors and to minimize failures in meeting client's objectives, several criteria must be taken into account and a consistent evaluation methodology must be applied. We propose a multi-criteria decision-making approach, based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), for supporting public authorities in contractor prequalification. The decision problem is decomposed into qualitative criteria and sub-criteria that are further analysed in quantitative indicators on which the candidate contractors are evaluated. Our advisory decision support system is an appropriate tool for at least three reasons: First, various criteria are included, in order to ensure the quality of the completed product. Second, it is easy to use, because, on the one hand, it requires no prior knowledge of multi-criteria methods from the potential users; and, on the other hand, it minimizes subjective judgments. Finally, the model minimizes the required pairwise comparisons, which is considered to be a major default of AHP. Read More...
