-Prof. Markad Anand .M ; Chaugule Sagar Vitthal; Chopade Prashant Siddheshwar; Morepatil Ramraje Daulatrao; Ingole Ganesh Arjun
Indian Railways was being roundly criticized for creating an environment hazard by discharging toilet waste on tracks. IR coaches have toilet system that has hole on the floor through which human feces and urine is flushed directly on railway tracks. This project presents the methodology for design and fabrication of human waste disposal system for Indian railway with the related search. Mostly bad problem in train is discomfort of toilet. In train toilet there is not cleanliness as well as in train human waste from toilet is directly fall on the rail track. This condition is same at the railway station where trains are stop. When the train is stop on the station due to toilet outlets are already open, when any person use the toilet then all human wastage is falling on the rail track. Therefore surrounding atmosphere at the station is get polluted as well as there are increase bad smell. Due to this, passengers face the many problems. Considering the problem of toilet waste in Indian Railway in which we can keep the Railway station and the nearby place much cleaner than at present condition for this purpose we are developing a system which would help the station and nearby area clean. This system is based on automatic control and highly reliable and less expensive to implement without any modification in present coaches this system can be implemented. In our project we are trying to eliminate the problem of falling down of human wastage. When train stop on the station whenever passengers used toilets then instead of falling down the human wastage on a railway track, it store in the drum installed at bottom. When train is start to moving after speed reaches about 40km/hr. Then outlet of drum gets open slowly and all human wastage through the drum falls down away from station. Due to this the station be a clean and solve the all problems at station. Read More...

-Mr. Kalpataru Bakul Patil ; Mr. Mahesh Bhikesing Girase; Mr. Vijay Atmaram Mali; Mr. Sachin Suresh Koli; Prof. Jayvant R. Saindane
Agriculture has been the main occupation in our country for centuries. But now, due to the migration of people from rural to urban areas, there is an obstacle in agriculture. So, to overcome this problem, we look for intelligent farming techniques that use IoT. This project includes several functions, such as GPS-based remote monitoring, humidity and temperature detection, intruder intrusion, security and adequate irrigation facilities. It uses wireless sensor networks to continuously observe soil properties and environmental factors. Several sensor nodes are implemented in different locations in the farm. The control of these parameters is carried out via any remote device or Internet service and operations are performed via interface sensors, GSM, voice kit, etc. with a microcontroller. This concept is created as a product and is given to the well-being of the farmer. Advanced development in wireless sensor networks can be used to monitor various parameters in agriculture. Due to the uneven natural distribution of rainwater, it is very difficult for farmers to monitor and control the distribution of water in the farm field across the farm or according to crop needs. There is no ideal irrigation method for all climatic conditions, soil structure and crop variety. Farmers suffer big financial losses due to bad weather forecasts and wrong irrigation methods in this context, with the evolution of miniaturized sensors and wireless technologies, it is possible to remotely control parameters such as temperature, humidity and moisture. The main objective of this document is to develop an intelligent wireless sensor network (WSN) for an agricultural environment. Monitoring the agricultural environment by various factors such as temperature and humidity along with other factors can be significant. A traditional approach to measuring these factors in an agricultural environment has led people to measure manually and verify them at different times. This document investigates a remote monitoring system that uses the wireless network. These nodes send data wirelessly to a central server, which collects data, stores it and allows them to be analyzed, viewed as necessary and also sent to the customer's mobile phone. Read More...

-Mr. Krupesh H. Dave ; Mr. Bhavik M. Padhiyar; Mr. Hardik J. Bhatt
Since many years there is so many research work done on helical spring due to its vast range of working and reliability in various sector, like machines, automobiles etc. All researcher have modified design, changed materials for various purpose. But the conventional spring still in use. Now, with change in time and technology better to find alternative option for it. Wave spring which is different from conventional design, was first conceptualized by the SMALLEY Industries, U.S.A. in 1990’s for purpose of to keep machine component connected by spring pressure. They use the Hooke’s law while designing of it. Wave spring occupies 50% less space than conventional spring, also it have long lasting effectiveness and good durability. For the two wheeler rear suspension system wave spring is designed with the same dimensions of helical spring. The spring is designed and analyzed both theoretically and numerically. Load is considered as the bike weight and two person weight. Structural steel and copper alloy are taken as the spring material. In theoretical analysis the analytical equations are used where as in numerical analysis the structural and fatigue analysis is performed. This present study focuses on the selection of the best spring with the best material for the two wheeler rear suspension system. Soild works is used for the designing of the spring and analysis is performed by the ANSYS. Read More...

Behavior of Wideband Digital AGC for 16-QAM, 8-PSK Constellations and Two-Tone IMD
-Nikhil Nicholson ; Prof. Pratik Patel
Digital Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is required to control the variations in amplitude of the signal to maintain a constant level at the output. Now-a-days in modern communication receivers mostly processing is done in digital domain. In this project, digital AGC is designed for wideband communication systems. Here the implementation of digital AGC is done in FPGA using Xilinx ISE software in VHDL (Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language). Input from VSG is given to ADC of 14 bits resolution, thereafter power is calculated which provides the memory address for the LUT, in which attenuating factor is stored. Then the input signal is multiplied with the LUT output in multiplication block; to give constant output which is given to DAC of 16 bits and analysed in VSA. Finally the behavior of this Digital AGC is observed in QAM, PSK and Two-tone signals. Here the dynamic range obtained is around 45 dB to 50 dB. Read More...

Semi Active Rectifier for High Output Voltage Applications in Boost Mode
-Shilpa T B ; Dr. Sharada Prasad N
A method for developing isolated buck boost converter in boost mode is projected in this paper. This method is more efficient because of soft switching operation, low voltage stress on active switches and also a single stage power conversion. Low voltage stress on the components is accomplished. From this efficiency of the converter also improves. On the basis of two switch non isolated buck boost converter, isolated buck boost converter in boost mode is proposed. Semi active rectifier (SAR) is also proposed in this paper. It acts as a secondary rectification circuit for isolated buck boost converter. It improves the converter voltage gain and reduces the voltage stress on the devices in the rectification circuit. By choosing a transformer with a smaller turn’s ratio and reduced parasitic parameters, efficiency can be improved. Primary side of transformer is taken as full bridge isolated buck boost converter. To obtain isolated buck boost conversion, phase shift control strategy is applied to the full bridge. Over a wide load and voltage range, soft-switching performance of all active switches and diode can be achieved. Read More...

Comparative Analysis of Conventional Slab, Flat Slab and Post-tensioning Slab
-Vishal Gupta ; Rohit Sahu; Dr. Pankaj Singh
In the present study main focus on economic analysis between conventional and post tensioning slab. Post tensioning method is very popular now days, because difficult method of construction. It is not use in frame structures like buildings. It is widely used in heavy structures like bridges, mat foundation etc. Application of post tension slab for industrial and office building with large span is corporately better then rain forced concrete slab. In small span post tensioning slab is not good in economical aspect but in other aria likes serviceability, durability of structure and faster constriction with respect to convention slab can provoke the over look of economical expect post tensioning methods can be majorly divided into two part either bonded or unbounded tendon first method that is or bounded tendons method is achieved by grouting the duct containing steel tendon after stressing, so the bound between the prestressing steel and concrete transfer the prestressing force to the members. Unbounded tendons is achieved by transmitted the force by anchorage of prestressing steel. In this method tendon ducts are left without grouting and grouting process is only used at anchorage portion. This paper introduces economical comparison between different type of slab and different type of construction technique. The analysis and design is verified all Indian stranded codal provision in manual calculations as well as a power full computer software SAP2000. Read More...

-Dharmendra Sapariya ; Zala Yuvraj; Swami Karan; Prajapati Siddharth; Yadav Arpit
We know that the world electrical consumption is increasing day by day. Wind and Solar are the two-main renewable source which can help face this electricity crisis. HAWT are efficient but they require high velocity wind and high altitude to work. On the other hand, VAWT can produce electricity at lower altitude. As we know, vehicle plays an important role in providing short range high velocity wind flow. This wind flow can be effectively used by placing a VAWT on the median of the road and capturing wind energy and converting it into rotational energy and then to electrical energy. The aim of this work is to design and develop a new Savonius type vertical axis wind turbine which uses wind flow from vehicle and convert it into electrical energy for small scale energy applications. Linear Regression: Simple Technique for Inferential Statistics using Pandas
-Swayanshu Shanti Pragnya ; Shakti Chaturvedi
Inferential statistics is otherwise known as predictive statistics that meant to do prediction using simple statistics. Statistics is the efficient and most used dogma for the world of data analysis. Any sort of analysis is incomplete without simple linear equations as, all the implementation needs a mathematical derivation for better understanding which leads to prior data visualization. Predictive analysis is not new but still requires human interface for facing more critical problems like every human does in their day to day life. Before prediction, data collection, identification, segregation are primarily concerned for data analysis. So for that, machine learning algorithms are useful to solve such problems. This paper is about the collation between linear and logistic regression by using Pandas, implementation of SVM (Support Vector Machine) and result analysis using confusion matrix. Read More...

Eco-Friendly House Construction using PET Bottles
-Sheshnath. S. Nishad ; Vikrant; Vikas; Sanjay
Today the construction industry is in need of finding cost effective material for increasing the strength of structure. In India, most of the construction is done using bricks and they are one of the major ingredients in building material used for construction. In the process of brick making, bricks are burnt in kiln which introduces the emission of CO2 gas in major quantity which pollutes the environment. Also studies find that as many as 65 million empty plastic water bottles per year end up as garbage in landfill sites. To overcome all the environmental problems of bricks, they are replaced by waste bottles. This project deals with the possibility of using waste PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles as a partial replacement over bricks. The main objective of this project was to work on the strength of bottle bricks. Therefore compressive tests were performed on bottle bricks with different composition of sand and soil. The compression test was prepared for 250ml, 600ml and 1000ml sizes of bottle-bricks filled with either fine or coarse soil. Various cubes are casted using bottle bricks with different compositions and tests are performed on them. As a result, all the bottles are achieving greater strength over the permissible limit required for burnt clay bricks. From these results it can be concluded that plastic bottle construction have a potential as a wall construction material and can be efficiently used for economic house construction. Read More...

Design and Performance Enhancement of Induced Draft Counter Flow Wet Type Cooling Tower
-Dhruvin Yogeshkumar Patel ; Harshal Oza; Jyotin Kateshia
Cooling towers are one of the biggest heat and mass transfer devices used to transfer process waste heat to the atmosphere. Cooling towers make use of evaporation whereby some of the water is evaporated into a moving air stream and subsequently discharged into the atmosphere. As a result, the remainder of the water is cooled down significantly. The process parameters such as inlet Air Wet bulb Temperature, Flow rate of Water and fills porosity have more influence on Thermal performance of cooling tower. The Temperature of outlet water is maintained nearest to inlet air wet bulb temperature to obtain the best Thermal Performance of cooling tower. Finite element method is one of the powerful numerical techniques to solve the complex physical phenomenon that are governed by the differential equations. Many of the practical engineering problems such as structural, thermal, magnetic, acoustic, etc. can be solved by the finite element method. Moreover, the finite element method is an increasingly common tool for engineering design. Design and dimension are taken from Dishman Pharmaceutical And Chemical Limited,Naroda GIDC, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In this research work my objective is to get optimum condition which gives the maximum effectiveness in counter flow FRP cooling tower. For effectiveness parameters like inlet water flow rate, inlet air rate and fill porosity are considering in this research. So optimization of heat transfer is done by using taguchi method. Taguchi method is reducing the number is experiment. Here also used the Minitab software for taguchi method. For this model of cooling tower is made in Creo 2.0 then convert this model in STEP file and imported in ANSYS Workbench for CFD analysis. Teaching Practice and the Effectiveness of Geography Teaching: Appraisal of Secondary Schools in Anglophone Cameroon
-Ambei Moses Chu
The quality of the educational system of any given country depends largely on the quality of Teacher education. For this quality to be realized, it is important to constantly monitor the stages (theoretical, teaching practice, research project) involved in teacher education. This study sought to investigate the influence of teaching practice on the effectiveness of geography teaching in secondary schools in Anglophone Cameroon. It was carried out within the Menchum and Fako Divisions of the North West and South West regions of Cameroon. This research had as population size, some 1444 geography teachers and all their students drawn from all government secondary schools within these two regions. Teachers’ sample population was gotten through the use of purposive sampling method while that of students was gotten through the use of simple random sampling. Respondents were expected to fill in closed ended questionnaire items. Data collected were reported using frequency tables and proportions while Logistic Regression Model was used to predict the effect level of influence of teaching practice on geography teachers’ teaching effectiveness. This effectiveness was assessed based on one factor thatis supervision of teaching practice. It was realized that the supervision of teaching alone cannot effectively predict teachers' effectiveness. Based on this finding, it was recommended that more emphasis during teacher training should be laid on subject matter mastery by student-teachers. Also, some form of financial incentives should be given to student-teachers. Finally, a thorough screening exercise should be done in the selection of supervisors and Cooperating teachers to ensure that only the most qualified are assigned to guide and supervise student-teachers. -Patel Harshalkumar Nirmalbhai ; Shaikh Mohd. Ammar Mohd. Yunus; Patel Siddhi Jatinkumar; Mali Ajay Arvindbhai
Water ring vacuum pump is mostly used device in industries to generate vacuum. Water ring vacuum pump is a specific form of rotary positive displacement pump utilizing water as the principle element in gas compression. It could be used as a compressor also. The present paper describes an improvement in the performance of vacuum pump impeller. Due to the damage in one of few blades of the impeller the whole impeller needs to be changed, which increases the maintenance and replacement cost. But due to the designing and implementation of the impeller with removable blades the maintenance and replacement cost could be reduced. The design of the impeller with the removable blades has been done using the PTC CREO 3.0 software and the performance of the impeller has been checked in the ANSYS software for static structural and model analysis. The standard VWS200 series single stage vacuum pump is used as the reference for dimensions. Read More...

Achieving Flatness : Selecting The Honeyword From Existing User Passwords
-Ritu Ranjan Jha ; Pranita Dhane; Prof. Yuvaraj N N
It may be represented the honeyword mechanism to detect an adversary who tries to login with cracked passwords. New password is the mix of existing user passwords called honey words. Fake passwords are few things though the honey words basically, for every username some sweet words is constructed in ways that merely one element will be the correct password as well as the others are honey words (decoy passwords). Hence, when an adversary tries to enter into the device with a honey word, a security is triggered to notify the administrator of a password leakage. Honey words to detect attacks against hash password database. Per user account the legitimate password saved in way of honey words. If attacker Attack on password i.e. honey words it cannot be sure it really is real password or honey word. On this study, we to check in more detail with careful attention the honey word system and provide some comment to target supply weak spots. Also concentrate on pragmatic password, reduce storage price of password, and alternate any to choice the newest password from existing user passwords. Read More...

An Energy Aware and Load Balanced Dynamic Clustering Protocol for WSN using Fuzzy Logic
-Manasa Mohan ; Arun Thulasi; Hari S
Designing communication protocols for large-scale ad-hoc networks is difficult. Clustering is a key technique which extends the lifetime of a WSN by reducing energy consumption which can also increase network scalability. In this work, we propose an energy-efficient and load-balanced dynamic clustering protocol based on artificial bee colony (EBABC) which comprises of two parts. First determine the number of cluster heads based on the nodes distribution and communication radiuses. Secondly we select the CHs according to the residual energy, mobility, number of single-node cluster and distances to cluster heads from their member nodes and to the server from cluster heads. Simulation results demonstrate that the protocol can efficiently prolong the network lifetime and achieve load balance among the nodes. Read More...

-Dhirendrakumar R Rana
This paper describes analysis and comparison of three different topologies for reduction of harmonic contents in three phase bridge inverter with 180 degree mode of conduction. IEEE standard 519-1992 is a useful document for understanding harmonics and applying harmonic limits in power systems. Three different topologies are basic inverter operation with no harmonics reduction, second is passive filter by using combination of inductor- capacitor elements (LC circuit) and third is pulse width modulation technique. Here in this paper sinusoidal pulse width modulation technique is explained. Three circuits are simulated in MATLAB simulink for harmonics analysis in fast Fourier transform (FFT). Out of Three topologies sinusoidal pulse width is best method for reduction of harmonics. Level of harmonics is analysed using Total harmonic Distortion (THD).In addition to this work Active Filter circuit can also be used to minimize the THD level by implementing series active filter for current waveform and shunt active filter for voltage waveform for three phase circuit. Comparative Study on Frequent Pattern Mining Algorithms for Temporal Data Set and its Applications
-Sona Shaju K
Mining frequent pattern from temporal data set, which contain time related information associated with each transaction is not effectively done by traditional data mining techniques. Because, they mainly focus only on static data. Some patterns are valid only on some particular time points or intervals, so these techniques are not capable of solving over estimating problem of time periods. Frequent pattern of item set in the temporal database is formed, mainly in transactional database like purchasing an item, occurrence of an event etc. Mining time related data is a challenging issue. Different methods for finding frequent pattern on temporal database are studied in this paper and their characteristics like, memory space utilization, computational time, scanning of database, temporal information considered, etc are compared. The three algorithms are, first is Periodic Frequent Pattern Growth algorithm[3] which is an extension of FP-Growth algorithm, give more consideration for periodicity and extract the periodic frequent patterns from PFP-tree, second is Extended a-priori algorithm[1] which is the extension of A-priori algorithm gives more importance for each and every time point and generate frequent pattern on the basis of Time Cube and Basic time cubes, third is the Cluster Based Bit Vector Mining Algorithm[2] which generates the frequent patterns after compressing the database by converting the items in transactions to bit vectors on the basis of occurrence of each item in the corresponding transaction. Predictive Model for Finance Industry using Machine Learning Algorithms and a Study on Its Performance Analysis
-Sona Shaju K
Machine learning which is a process of learning the machine with available data to think like humans is a part of artificial intelligence and has a vast scope as the future technology. It can be used for almost all sectors for predictive analysis, cognitive services, virtual assistance, video surveillance, risk management, fraud detection etc. In this paper, it is concentrating on how the machine learning can be applicable for predicting risk assessment and fraud detection in finance sector which have some imbalanced data sets. Finance sector is the wealth backbone of any country, so risk assessment and fraud detection has great importance. Risk assessment is the process of identifying vulnerabilities to an organization by identifying risk involved in each and every new plans, policies or investments. This paper concentrates on risk level detection of loan application and insurance claim. Fraud detection is the process of finding fraud activities, events or transactions. It can be associated with several fields like money transaction, network intrusion etc. In this paper, fraud money transaction is detected. These all areas contain imbalanced data and these data sets bear with the minority and majority class problems which will hardly affect the prediction accuracy. This paper suggests a predictive model for risk assessment and fraud detection using three efficient machine learning algorithms after applying undersampling technique on data and compares the accuracy difference of them, on imbalanced and resampled data sets with the leading machine learning algorithms Random Forest, SVM (support vector machine) and ANN (Artificial Neural Network). This paper is implemented using Qt IDE and OpenCV library using C++ language. The paper analyses the parameters of each algorithm and tries to find out the solution to increase the efficiency of each algorithm by changing these parameters. Read More...

-Deepak Kumar Bhushan ; Madhur Kumar; Himanshu Pant; Smrati Singh
This system is a combination of various electronic device, in which we can locate the position of our vehicle by using GPS and GSM technology. Global Positioning Vehicle System (GPS) & GSM is used in Modern Vehicle Tracking System to locate the longitudinal & latitudinal position of vehicle. We can also used other technology to track the vehicle. This technology provide the real time vehicle location. We use microcontroller to control the GPS module to get geographic coordinate position of vehicle. A GPS receiver calculates its position using the signal from GPS satellite. The GPS stored the data from satellite & this data stored in the form of latitude & longitudinal position. To find the path of the vehicle we need to send a message to the GSM, which get activated by receiving our message. At this instant GPS get automatically deactivate by the help of relay & GSM provide the last received position from the GPS and send the message to a particular number which is executed in the program. After this the GSM get deactivate and GPS get activate. This is a cyclic process. Read More...

-Anurag Singh ; Prof. D. S. Ray; Mohammad Afaq; Kamal
The potentiality of rice husk as a good source of high technological materials in road construction is the subject of this research. Every year approximately 770 million tons of paddy are produced globally. This gives around 120 million tons of rice husk (RH) and 21 million tons of rice husk ash (RHA) annually. Besides these, it can be utilized in several other applications. The main reason behind this trend is the excessive production of waste like fly ash, plastics, rice husk ash (RHA) which is not only hazards but also creating deposition problems. Using some of these waste materials in construction practice will reduce the problem in a great extent. This paper will let us study how husk waste can be used in construction of roads. Step by step procedure of various tests conducted on the experimental model section of road block. This project will also conclude about how the use of rice husk in road construction increases the strength, flexibility, durability etc. of the road. As rapid growth in population and industrialization is taking over on huge scale, the use of resouces has to be done keeping in need of the future generation some new technologies are made for waste utilization and cost reduction is of primary focus. Firewall and Load Balancer System using Software Defined Networks
-Vijayalaxmi Dhabbe ; Aparna Mali; Prof. Sanjay Pawar
Network usage and demands are growing at a very fast rate and to meet the current requirements, there is a need for automatic infrastructure scaling. Software defined networking, referred to as a revolutionary new idea in computer networking, is the new approach that promises to dramatically simplify network-control and the management plane. It is achieved through innovative network programmbility. OpenFlow, one of the techniques of SDN technology, is a new approach to networking. Because of many limitations, the development of the traditional load balancing technology has encountered bottlenecks. This has forced companies to find new load balancing method. Software Defined Network (SDN) provides a good method to solve the load balancing problem. We are proposing firewall System for SDN environment which identifies malicious behaviors or attacks and reports to network administrators as intrusion events. In this paper, we implemented load balancing algorithm that based on the latest SDN network architecture. We are using Dijkstra's algorithm to find multiple paths of same length which enables us to reduce the search to a small region in the fat tree topology. The technologies we describe enable network operators to implement a wide range of network policies in a high-level policy language and easily determine sources of performance problems. In addition to the systems themselves, we describe prototype deployments in campus networks that demonstrate how SDN can improve common network management tasks. Read More...
