Review on Performance of Direct Evaporative Cooler
-Kapish Dhakulkar ; Pavan Rathod; Kiran Mirage; Pritam Gondane; Vijay Rathod
Demand for electric power during peak periods in summer is a vital concern for many utilities in the fast-moving world. From the demand point of view on the grid and cost to the consumer, it is quite wise to install, energy efficient evaporative coolers rather than conventional air conditioners. Evaporative cooling has a great many advantages over other cooling processes. Due to the non-pollution creating environment, it is considered as one of the suitable ways to cool ones workplace or living place because of the fact that it uses fresh air and replaces the air time to time, quite frequently, an hour. Due to recirculation of air, smells and allergens are expelled. It bases on a natural process of air cooled by water, it won’t dry out the air, or irritate human skin, eyes, or other external parts of the human body. It allows the doors to be left open for one to sustain the heat of summer. Moreover, evaporative cooling is an inexpensive cooling option which enhances the lifestyle of people. However, evaporative cooling requires an abundant water and is efficient when the relative humidity is low. Padding media play a major role in determining cooling efficiency the comparative performance of Desert Coolers employing four different pads in terms of cooling efficiency, air velocity, and water consumption for a sustainable and economic application. In real practice, we use aspen, coconut coir, as cooling pads in desert coolers. Read More...

Aluminium composites are compounds in which aluminium is the transcendent metal. The typical alloying elements copper, magnesium, magnese, silicon, tin and zink. Al and aluminium alloys play an important role in engineering and metallurgy field on account of manufacture and formability. TIG welding strategy is one of the exact and speediest procedures utilized as a part of aviation, businesses, dispatch enterprises vehicle ventures, marine ventures, and atomic ventures. TIG welding process is utilized to dissected the information and assess the impact of information parameters on elasticity and hardness of aluminium example- welding current, gas stream rate, and welding speed are the input parameters which affect output responses of aluminium welded joints. To enhance welding nature of aluminium plate pre and post safeguards must be taken during welding process. TIG welding is a brilliant welding process used to weld the aluminium. Welding of AL plate by varying input parameters, the yield parameters get contemplated improved so better nature of welded joints will create. 6061 AL combination are composite are alloyed with zink and have most elevated quality of any simple weldable aluminium alloy. 6061 aluminium combination is generally delicate, effectively machined, sturdy, reuse, light weight, flexible and pliant metal with appearance brilliant. It is non magnetic and does not easily ignite. Al has about one third density and stiffness of steel. From the literature study, it is found that welding of aluminium is a big challenge by conventional arc welding process. Again repeatability of welding relies upon its control on welding speed and other preparing parameters. In this work to perform welding of 5mm thickness 6061 aluminium alloy plate, TIG welding setup will utilize. Welding of the 6061 aluminium composite plate will do by changing the welding parameters on the tensile strength and hardness of weld joint will analyze. Read More...

Importance of Live Feed in Aquaculture
-Dr. Anandamoy Mondal ; Abdul Aziz; Mamata Joysowal; Bhogeshwar Chirwatkar
Live food organisms include all plants (phytoplankton) and animal (zooplankton) lives grazed upon by economically important fishes. Phytoplankton’s are generally eaten by zooplankton. Thus, phytoplankton forms the basis of the food chain. Live foods are able to swim in water column and are constantly available to fish and shellfish larvae are likely to stimulate larval feeding response Most of the fish and shellfish larvae in nature feed on small phytoplanktonic and zoo planktonic organisms. The success in the hatchery production of fish fingerlings for stocking in the grow-out production system is largely dependent on the availability of suitable live food for feeding fish larvae, fry and fingerlings. Live food organisms contain all the nutrients such as essential proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and fatty acids and hence are commonly known as “living capsules of nutritionâ€. Providing appropriate live food at proper time play a major role in achieving maximum growth and survival of the young ones of finfish and shellfish. Read More...

Comparative Study of Bubbled Beam and Conventional Beam
-Laxmankumar Solanki ; Dipali Pawar; Priyanka Mote; Ridhima Navatke
Now days there is need of better and efficient construction material and method. We have the responsibility to reduce the effect of application of concrete material to environmental effect. In building constructions, the beam is a very important structural member to carry load of the slab. Objective of this paper is to develop a bubbled beam by placing high density polyethylene balls below the neutral axis .reasons to use high density polyethylene balls are light weight, high strength to weight ratio, Non-reactive with other material. By introducing HDPE balls leads to a 5-10% of lighter beams which reduces loads on columns, walls and foundation and of course on entire building. The region below the neutral is in tension and above the neutral axis is in compression. Concrete is weak in tension & strong in compression hence concrete below the neutral axis is not performing any structural function. Specimen of conventional beam and bubbled beam are cast and tested for two point load. Then the results are compare and effects are studied. Self-weight of this developed beams are expected to be reduced with decrease in volume. Hence proving the beams to be economical. Stress-strain behaviour of conventional beam and bubbled beam is observed by application of strain gauges and recorded by strain meter. The various parameters like self-weight ,flexural strength, stress strain behaviour, deflection ,crack pattern are calculated to compare both the specimens and estimation of amount of concrete saved by bubbled beam as compared to conventional beam is calculated. This bubbled beam will be effective for longer span. Read More...

Improvement and Performance Evaluation of Correlation Based IDs in MANET
-Shiman
Security is a prime concern in mobile ad hoc network (MANET) because of its inherent vulnerabilities. The open and dynamic environment of MANET makes it vulnerable to various security attacks. In this research work we have developed a unique correlation based IDS model for detection of DDOS attack in IMANET (Internet based Mobile Ad hoc Networks). The DDOS attack model is based on parameters which include (probe interval, rate, read interval, read length etc) and the detection and response model is based on the concept of opposing correlation in which the historical covariance values selected defines normal and abnormal threshold is compared with current covariance values in an iterative manner which in shows that both strong and weak covariance is also taken into consideration. Pair wise covariance helps IDS to analyze three routing parameters which are essential for evaluating performance of any MANET. These include PDR, PLR, control messages (Hello, ACK, REQ, and REP). Montecarlo simulation model used here gives us real kind of scenarios which help us to give insight and build sub systems. Proposed algorithm is better in terms of being sensitive and more reliable. As we all know the petrol and diesel prices increases day by day due to this it is more difficult to use vehicle to common man. It is not affordable to all society of people. Also due to emission of various gases from this fuel pollution is increases continuously and these will affect to ozone layer and it is hazardous to human being as well as environment. The fossil fuels on the earth will be exhausted in future and these are non-renewable sources of energy. So there is necessity of use renewable sources of energies like wind energy, solar energy, etc. To overcome this problem we are choosing eco- friendly and pollution free solar energy to operate bike. The solar operated bike is driven by DC motor which is mounted on rear wheel of the bike. The solar panels are arranged in series on the roof and the energy is supplied to the 48V lead acid batteries of 33Ah which gives you 250 watt power rating to the bike and with travelling speed of around 25-30 kmph. The photovoltaic capacity of solar panel is 50 watt. There is also provision for electric charging of battery in case of poor solar supply due to cloudy weather. Provision is made in the design to charge the battery from electrical source also so that the usage of the bike is extended in places and time where solar power is not available. Read More...

Impulsive and Convective Effect on Tanks Resting on Firm Ground
-Pankaj Malviya ; Lucky Sahu; Dr. Pankaj Singh
This study is an examination of an ideal reinforced concrete rectangular water tank resting on ground under the effect of earthquake (lateral) forces. A linear three-dimensional finite element analysis on Staad pro software have been used to analyse the tank response. The variable analysis parameters considered are the aspect ratio (tank height to length ratio) and tank water level, while the tank wall thickness is taken as a constant. Hydrodynamic forces exerted by liquid on tank wall shall be considered in the analysis in addition to hydrostatic forces. These hydrodynamic forces are calculated with the help of spring-mass model of tanks. When a tank containing liquid vibrates, the liquid exerts impulsive and convective hydrodynamic pressure on the tank wall and the tank base in addition to the hydrostatic pressure. In order to show the effect of hydro-dynamic pressure in the analysis, tank can be idealized by an equivalent spring-mass model, which includes the effect of tank wall-liquid interaction. The parameters of this model depend on geometry of the tank. In general, the results show that, there is a smooth increase in the moment and displacement of both hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analysis with a decrease in aspect ratio. The top displacement and moment for the hydrodynamic effects are greater than the hydrostatic results and it is observed that the maximum hydrodynamic moment is higher than the corresponding maximum hydrostatic moment. Likewise, the displacement obtained from hydrodynamic analysis is more than the corresponding hydrostatic value. Read More...

Analyse Boiler Operation and Suggest an Eco-Friendly Fuel Solution for Boiler
-Azad Urvish Vijaysingh ; Lakhani Yagnik Sureshbhai; Prajapati Nikhil Sureshkumar; Khatri Bhavin H.
Generally, coal is used largely as a fuel in boilers. Coal burning emissions containing Sulphur combines with air to create the poisonous gas Sulphur oxide. When this gas releases into the atmosphere, it causes polluting rain. Extracting coal from mines further damages soil and water resources, adding to the disadvantages of using coal burning boilers. Also coal is a costly fuel for local users such as in hotels in small towns, in villages, etc. They use wood as a fuel but that too is a very damaging factor for environment Also the transportation of wood is costly as well as a tedious process as it is a bulky fuel. This also makes the handling and storage difficult. Also the ash content is high and this also creates a disposal problem. Our main objective is to suggest cheaper water heating by studying various bio fuels and try to make it available on a local level mainly for the small hotels which use boilers in local industries. The problem faced by farmers who work on small fields while harvesting crops as it takes a lot of time, labour and effort to cut the crops manually. Although Harvesting machines are already available in the market but these are quite large and costly. Since farmers with small lands have no such large usage and also harvesting is done only twice or thrice in a year, it becomes difficult for small farmers to afford such kind of a machine. So, it becomes essential to make a portable and cost efficient semi or fully automatic crop cutting machine. To achieve this aim, a lot of ground research has been done in this project wherein various farmers of our village were met and their problems were understood. Based on all the findings, a design for a crop cutting machine has been developed which is expected to help small scale farmers. A prototype has been developed which is easy to operate and can be used for efficient and effortless harvesting of crops. The model so constructed, can be used by small scale farmers for increasing their profits by decreasing labor and machinery cost. This model will offer a superior and cheap technique to decrease labor and endeavors required in collecting crops. Read More...

Experimentation of Electromagnetic Engine
-Prof. Swapnil Rawool ; Yogesh Santosh Desai; Aditya Santosh Kadam; Ranjit Shivaji Jadhav; Aditya Milind Pawar
Engine is the main source of power for an Automobile, usually being an internal combustion (IC) engine where combustion takes place & produces heat which converts into mechanical energy. Considering the current condition of increase in population and global warming, an internal combustion engine has a lot of demerits like increasing fuel prices, depleting fossil fuels, increasing pollution, etc. A lot of alternative for fossil fuels like CNG and LPG and even alternatives for internal combustion engine such as electric vehicles are been used. These alternative has some limitations like high initial cost, low efficiency etc. Here we have introduced a mechanism which has more load carrying & running capacity than electrical vehicles and also makes zero emission or pollution as compared to conventional vehicles. The working principle of the engine is the magnetic force principle, i.e. magnetic repulsion between the same poles of two different magnets. When similar poles of two different magnets come in contact with each other they repel each other. This phenomenon of repulsion is used in this engine to create linear motion of the piston. -Surya Kiran H P ; Vasrhitha S; Varsha P Y; Tharun Kumar M B
The developing demand of wireless applications has increased a lot of constraints on utilization of available radio spectrum. Therefore for efficient utilization of spectrum, we need to sniff the spectrum to determine whether it is being used by primary user or not. Cognitive radio (CR) enables dynamic spectrum access. The biggest challenge related to spectrum sensing is in developing sensing techniques which are able to detect very weak primary user signals while being sufficiently fast and low cost to implement. Spectrum sensing helps to detect the underutilized bands of the spectrum which provides high spectral resolution capability. In this paper various spectrum sensing techniques and their performance analysis is presented. Read More...

Design and Fabrication of Electromagnetic Multipurpose Sheet Working Machine
-Poojan Kaswekar ; Dhaval Patel; Harshil Patel; Nilesh Patel
Everyone who works in industrial sector knows the importance of sheet metals, almost all major and minor industries use sheet metals in one form or another, it could be an integral part of their product or it could be part of the machines that they are using to manufacture products. There are lots of reasons why sheet metals are popular; they are easy to handle, light weight, less expensive, easy to work with, etc. After analysing that sheet working operations are popular, one must wonder what are the machines that are required to work with sheet metals, the answer in most cases is age old conventional means such as hydraulics and pneumatics, but these machines have inherit drawbacks. To address this problem, we thought of using a new principle and that principle is electromagnetism. Basically we used electromagnetic force by storing it in the form of potential energy in a spring and then using it in the form of kinetic energy to do the desired work. Numerous operations such as coining, blanking, perforating, notching, etc. can be performed. With this concept we want to reduce the cost for performing various forming operations on sheet material by using a new principle and application method. Read More...

-Smita Belge ; Kajal Gandhi; Rutuja Gawali; Jyostna Nanajkar
This paper presents an application to segregate basic geometric shapes and various colours in a two- dimensional image using image processing techniques with the help of MATLAB. The basic shapes included are circle and rectangle. We have a camera placed on the top of the mechanical conveyor belt. With the images captured by the camera, the software will perform the algorithms to identify color or shape. The sorting system uses solenoid valve which pushes different coloured objects and sorts them placing in different cups. The area of the minimum bounding rectangle is calculated irrespective of the angle of rotation of the object and ratio of this area to an area of the object is calculated and compared to the predefined ratio to determine the shape of the given object. The dominant color pixels present helps to determine the color of the object. The practical aspects of this include reducing the manual labour in industries used to segregate the products and providing real-time vision fraud. Malware is also detected before the time of downloading. Read More...

-R. Gowdaman ; A. Sathishkumar; K. Muthukumaran; K. Prakash; R. Yuvaraj
The increase in demand for refrigeration globally in the field of air-conditioning, food preservation, medical services, vaccine storages, and for electronic components temperature control led to the production of more electricity and consequently an increase in the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere which in turn leads to global warming and many climatic changes. Thermoelectric refrigeration is a new alternative because it can reduce the use of electricity to produce cooling effect and also meet today's energy challenges. Thermo electric refrigeration system uses peltier effect to produce hot and cold ends at each of its junctions. Cold end kept inside the cabinet to produce cooling effect inside the cabinet. Thermoelectric module can work either as a refrigeration system or a heat pump. This work presents an analysis of variation of temperature with respect to time for water cooled thermoelectric assembly. By dissipating large amount of heat from the hot side of module resulting in temperature drop in cold side of module. Read More...

Analysing the Effect of Coconut Oil Based Cutting Fluid for Turning Operation of EN19 Steel on CNC Lathe
-Dhyan Soni ; Navneetsinh Yadav; Ronak Raval
The cutting fluids are responsible for reducing heat at tool work interface, reducing the cut- ting force, easy chip removal, high material removal rate (MRR), lubrication improvement between tool and work piece and thereby increasing the surface finish. Good lubricating capacity, less viscosity, better heat removal rate, high heat conductivity and specific heat are the desired flow and heat transfer parameters of cutting fluids. The development of lubricants like cutting fluids traditionally has mineral oil as base fluid. This fact is related to the technical properties and the reasonable price of mineral oils. Issues of using fluids in machining related to health, environment, and manufacturing cost that need to be solved and options to reduce their use has to be developed. Hence there arises the need for an ecologically benign metal working fluid in machining operations. In this work a coconut oil based cutting fluid is developed with different concentration of oil and water. Different properties of these fluids are also found out. A comparative study of using Coconut oil based fluids and Mineral oil based fluid were conducted by taking EN-19 steel as workpiece material on a CNC lathe. Read More...

Data Encryption Standard
-Sufiya S Kazi ; Gayatri Bajantri
The Data Encryption Standard (DES) was developed by an IBM team in the year around 1974 and it was adopted as a national standard in the year 1977.From that time, many cryptanalysts have tried in order to find different shortcuts for the breaking of the system. In this paper, the examination of one such attempt, the method of differential cryptanalysis, which were published by Biham and Shamir. There are some of the safeguards against differential cryptanalysis that were built into the system from the beginning, with the result that more than 1015 bytes of the chosen plaintext are required for this attack to succeed. Cryptography plays very important role in security of data. Cryptography means to transfer sensitive information across insecure networks like internet so that it cannot be read by anyone except the person whom we want to send it. It basically hides the information. The federal organization used the Data Encryption Standard (DES) which may be used to protect sensitive data. Cryptography algorithms are divided into Symmetric and Asymmetric key cryptography. Symmetric Cryptography is further divided into Block ciphers and Stream Ciphers. Read More...

Wireless DC Motor Control System using Radio Frequencies
-Dipa Teraiya
The aim of this paper is to design an effective, efficient and low cost microcontroller based control unit that will be used to wirelessly control a DC motor using RF (radio frequencies) at distances ranging from 100 meters. The user should be able to wirelessly control the DC Motor. To achieve this, the digital circuit will be interfaced to a microcontroller 8051. An electronic technique called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is used to generate High and Low pulses (duty cycles) that vary and thus control the speed of the motor. The generation of this pulse is made possible by using a microcontroller (SST89E516RD) which in turn sets the speed ranges as per each cycle. H-Bridge was also used to achieve direction control (clockwise and counter clockwise direction) and an RF module, a small electronic circuit used to transmit, receive radio wave where transmitter transmits the signal while receiver receives the signals that have same range of frequencies. This paper is practical in the economic view and hence gives a reliable, durable, accurate and most efficient way of a DC motor control. Read More...

Pollution is the most important aspect on which we have to think about. Cement being the most important material in the concrete causes the environmental pollution in its production. To overcome this problem use of various by-products should be done. In the present study the Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) & Rice Husk Ash (RHA) materials are used in the replacement of Portland cement and alkaline liquids are used for the binding of materials. Many researchers have been carried out for determination of percentage combination of GGBFS and RHA. In this study, combination of GGBFS and RHA is taken as 90% GGBFS and 10% RHA [1] and effect of Sodium Hydroxide Molarity & ratio of Na2SiO3/NaOH are checked. The alkaline liquid is the mixture of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) and Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3). Various Na2SiO3/NaOH ratios are taken as 2 and 3. Various molarities of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) are taken as 10M, 12M, and 14M. The cube specimens and cylindrical specimens will be casted and Compressive strength test and split tensile strength test are conducted. Test results show that geo-polymer concrete with 12M NaOH and ratio of 3 Na2SiO3/NaOH produced maximum compressive strength. As per results Geo-polymer concrete can be developed at ambient temperature using GGBFS and RHA. Read More...

Cycloconverters using Thyristors
-Jithin E M ; Kannan Suresh; Nidhin P; Sija Gopinathan
The project is designed to control the speed of a single phase induction motor in three steps by using cyclo convertor technique by thyristors. A.C. motors have the great advantages of being relatively inexpensive and very reliable. Induction motors in particular are very robust and therefore used in many domestic appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, water pumps, and used in industries as well. The induction motor is known as a constant-speed machine, the difficulty of varying its speed by a cost effective device is one of its main disadvantages. As the AC supply frequency cannot be changed, so this project uses a thyristor controlled cycloconverter which enables the control of speed in steps for an induction motor. The microcontroller used in this project is Atmega 328P, a mobile phone-bluetooth control switch is provided to select the desired speed range (F, F/2 and F/3) of operation of the induction motor. These switches are interfaced to the microcontroller. The status of the switches enables the microcontroller to deliver the pulses to trigger the SCRs in a dual bridge. Thus, the speed of the induction motor can be achieved in three steps i.e. (F, F/2 and F/3). This very concept can be further enhanced and implemented to control the speed of a three phase induction motor. It can also be coupled with _ring angle control for any desired speed. Read More...
