Detecting Power Grid Synchronisation Failure on Sensing Frequency or Voltage Beyond Acceptable Range
-Jadhav Bibhisen B ; Pawar Dnyaneshwar; Cholke Nivurti P; Subhan M A
The project is designed to develop a system to detect the synchronization failure of any external supply source to the power grid on sensing the abnormalities in frequency and voltage. There are several power generation units connected to the grid such as hydel, thermal, solar etc to supply power to the load. These generating units need to supply power according to the rules of the grid. These rules involve maintaining a voltage variation within limits and also the frequency. If any deviation from the acceptable limit of the grid it is mandatory that the same feeder should automatically get disconnected from the grid which by effect is termed as islanding. This prevents in large scale brown out or black out of the grid power. So it is preferable to have a system which can warn the grid in advance so that alternate arrangements are kept on standby to avoid complete grid failure. This system is based on a microcontroller of 8051 family. The microcontroller monitors the under/over voltage being derived from a set of comparators. As the frequency of the mains supply cannot be changed, the project uses a variable frequency generator (555-timer) for changing the frequency, while a standard variac is used to vary the input voltage to test the functioning of the project. A lamp load (indicating a predictable blackout, brownout) being driven from the microcontroller in case of voltage/frequency going out of acceptable range. Further the project can be enhanced by using power electronic devices to isolate the grid from the erring supply source by sensing cycle by cycle deviation for more sophisticated means of detection Read More...

-Richa Mishra ; Anjali S. Patil
Indian subcontinent has diverse typology of cultural and religious heritage; one of its eminent typology is temple. These ancient temples of past stood against the force of natural calamities as well as religious dominance. One such cluster of Hindu temples lies embedded in the valleys of Chambal River in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. Region’s difficult geography mainly its ravines sustained its monumental heritage from the invaders and could thus prevent its further devastation. These temples representing the legacy of Kachhapagta period and Pratihara period stand still even today. Their architecture reflects technological skill of Indian craftsman and master builders. In the early 20th century the area was infested by dacoits, which prevented the monuments from harmful effects of urbanisation but lowered the socio-economic status of the settlements evolving nearby. This paper aims to highlight challenges of conservation of ancient religious structures in this area to serve as a tool for regeneration of these small towns. The religious tourism circuit thus developed will enhance the social and economic conditions of the population, with active participation of local government and residing population to serve as a major stakeholder. With the rising concern for heritage these monuments will also exhibit the grandeur of Hindu temples in the Chambal valley globally. Read More...

-Mr. Rushikesh Tupe ; Rushikesh Tupe; Shubham Tilekar; Swapnil Kadam; Nikhil Gaikwad
In mobile ad-hoc network there are individual mobile nodes which communicates through wireless link. The node does not share its resource but get advantage from other nodes are called misbehaving node. We use changing topologies with different nodes in mobile ad-hoc network. Because of misbehaving nodes network of performance affected. Misbehaving link in network, its sends two acknowledgement packets to the previous node from where the packets received. For minimizing the routing overhead we use modified acknowledgement scheme in that less amount of packets received .In modified two acknowledgement scheme we use DSR protocol for communication. Detecting misbehaving node in mobile ad-hoc network which shows host and routers connected by classic IP address is given in network. In mobile ad-hoc network nodes are connected either externally or internally. Mobile ad-hoc network interface connects routers. Classic IP address connects routers to nodes. In the network every node acts as basic node when it gets same configuration and properties from previous node. In mobile ad-hoc network node does not send data to next node therefore performance of network decreases. For finding misbehaving node in mobile ad-hoc network use three-hop technology which is more effective. Read More...

Detection of Selfish Link using Enhanced ACK Method in MANET
-Shubham Tilekar ; Mr. Rushikesh Tupe; Mr. Nikhil Gaikwad; Mr. Swapnil Kadam; Prof. Pavan Kulkarni
A mobile ad hoc network consists of nodes that move arbitrarily and form dynamic topologies. Individual mobile nodes communicate with each other directly or indirectly via wireless link. The nodes may attempt to benefit from other nodes, but some nodes refuse to share its own resources. Such nodes are called selfish or misbehaving nodes. The nodes in MANET move freely and may change topology rapidly. These selfish nodes may severely affect the performance of network. Due to such type of node's structure and scarcely available battery-based energy, node misbehaviors may exist. One such routing misbehavior is that some selfish nodes will participate in the route discovery and maintenance processes but refuse to forward data packets. In this paper, the 2ACK scheme is used. The 2ACK scheme serves a technique for routing schemes to detect routing misbehavior and to mitigate their adverse effect. The main idea of the 2ACK scheme is to send two-hop acknowledgment packets in the opposite direction of the routing path. In order to reduce additional routing overhead, only a fraction of the received data packets are acknowledged in the 2ACK scheme. The evaluation of the 2ACK scheme uses the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol. Read More...

Pursuit of Network Security Based Data Bucking by CSS in Cognitive Radio Network
-Elanagai G
Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) can be used to improve the Utilization of Spectrum holes efficiently. In CSS, there are many energy efficient traditional methods are there but it doesn't bother about Network security. Hence we proposed an Energy Efficient Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (EECSS) Protocol based on Trust and Reputation Management (TRM) Unit to combat malicious behavior. TRM unit calculates Trust value for each Secondary user's (SU’s) and find out and drops them from the network. By this way we prove that network security is enabled in our model. Energy Consumption is the major problem in Traditional CSS method, due to more number of sensing reports exchanged. In our proposed method we are using Data Fusion scheme to reduce total number of sensing reports exchanged between secondary user's base station and SU’s i.e. energy consumption was reduced. The result shows that energy consumption was drastically reduced after dropping of attackers. Read More...

Passive Solar Building Design with U-Boot Technology
-Abhishek Kumar ; Atul Kumar; Parwez Alam; Atith Srivastava
In this paper we have tried to design a building of windows, walls and floors are made to collect store and distribute solar energy in the form of heat in the winter and reject solar heat in summer. This is called passive solar building design because unlike active solar heating system. It does not involve use of mechanical and electrical devices. We can say that for passive solar building design in terms of scientific has been developed from a combination of climatology, thermodynamics like as heat transfer and human thermal comfort for building to be inhabited by human. This type of building are constructed from lightweight materials but some internal thermal mass is normally incorporated to reduce the summer peak temperatures and maintain stable winter temperature and prevent over heating in spring before normal solar shading becomes effective. And roof of the building are built by the U-boot technology because it is very light weight and recycle material hence prevent by earth quick and fire resistance, more double efficient. Read More...

Locomotive Machine Mountings A Review
-Abin Paul ; Abraham Antony
Locomotive machine is the most important part of an automobile. Locomotive machine develops the power for auto mobile propulsion. Inertia of the moving parts and pressure forces developed inside the locomotive machine causes vibration of the locomotive machine. Damping of these vibrations is very important to prevent damage to the locomotive machine. Mounting systems must effectively dissipate these vibrations. The vehicle locomotive machine mounting system, generally, consists of a locomotive machine (vibration source) and several mounts connected to the vehicle structure. The modern locomotive machine mounting systems have been successfully used to isolate the driver and passenger from both noise and vibration generated by the locomotive machine the ideal locomotive machine mount should isolate locomotive machine vibration caused by locomotive machine disturbance force in locomotive machine speed range and prevent locomotive machine bounce from shock excitation. This implies that dynamic stiffness and damping of the locomotive machine mount should be frequency and amplitude dependent. Therefore the development of locomotive machine mounting system has mostly concentrated on improvement of frequency and amplitude dependent properties. Various locomotive machine mounting systems broadly used in automobiles can be classified into Elastomeric, Hydraulic, Semi-active and Active hydraulic mounts. In this paper a study of the locomotive machine mountings systems has been done. Read More...
