A Report on Financial Investments & Trading Analysis with Reference to BMA Wealth Creartors, Bengaluru
-Amulya R S ; Dr. Krishna Gopal Choubey
This article let us know the basic concept on how financial investments deals with an individual who is still in introductory level in the investment sector, where the scheme of education in our Indian system does not reveal much of the importance of stock market and also has the same old conceptuality on financial markets as "Gambling". This article is designed exclusively for those who think very often why they have to do investments in any sectors. There are only two ways to make money in our modern world: by working, for yourself or someone else, and/or by having your assets work for you. If you keep your life savings in your back pocket or under a mattress, instead of investing, the money doesn't work for you and you'll never have more than what you save or receive through inheritance. Conversely, investors generate money by earning interest on what they set aside or by buying assets that increase in value. Read More...

Base Drag Considerations and Projectile Optimization on 0.5-caliber Projectile
-Byregowda G
One of the most important aerodynamic performance characteristics for the projectiles is the total drag. The total drag for projectiles can be divided into pressure drag (excluding the base), viscous (skin friction) drag, and base drag. The base drag is a major contributor to the total drag, particularly at transonic speeds. Thus, the determination and minimization of base drag is essential in minimizing the total drag of projectiles. This Information can aid the designer to find potential areas for drag reduction and achieve a desired increase in range and/or terminal velocity of projectiles since they are affected by the projectile drag. Improved projectile performance can be achieved in several different ways up to a certain extent, and can be combined in one and the same projectile. Base drag contributes generally to a relatively large part of the total drag and depends upon the fact that the base pressure due to the resulting wake flow in the base region is lower than the ambient air pressure. Current project deals with utilization of this phenomenon for overall reduction of total drag. Read More...

PI & Fuzzy Controller for SHAPF using PQ & Modified PQ Theory
-Noor Ayisha ; Sandhya Rai
In modern electrical distribution system power filters are majorly used to eliminate the harmonics produced within it, one of the power filter having better dynamic performance is Active Power filter. An accurate control algorithm providing the robust performance under unbalance loads and source is the need of Active power filters. The voltage source inverters (VSI) used to get triggered because of the control methods. Hence compensation of selection of harmonics depended mainly on adopted algorithms. Any SHAPF system there are wide and various ways of implementing the control block system whose output goes to VSI gate. Further to propose the new control strategy for Shunt active power filter the harmonics and frequency has to be modelled. For the control of the active and reactive power in the two-bus power system the Matlab Simulink based implementation of the instantaneous real and reactive power theory and modified PQ theory are used. The main objective of this paper is to analyze Shunt active filter with fuzzy and Pi controller, to carry out analysis we consider pq and modified pq theory. Read More...

Artificial Intelligence in Robotics
-Vaibhav S. Andhale ; Saikrishna L. Boddula; Vipul S. Dalal; Ashwini D. Padekar
Since Robotics is the field concerned with the connection of perception to action, Artificial Intelligence must have a central role in Robotics if the connection is to be intelligent. Artificial Intelligence addresses the crucial questions of: what knowledge is required in any aspect of thinking; how that knowledge should be represented; and how that knowledge should be used. Robotics challenges AI by forcing it to deal with real objects in the real world. Techniques and representations developed for purely cognitive problems, often in toy domains, do not necessarily extend to meet the challenge. Robots combine mechanical effectors, sensors, and computers. AI has made significant contributions to each component. We review AI contributions to perception and object oriented reasoning. Study on Traffic Regulation at Highway Intersection
-Ramanjeet Singh ; Dr. Rakesh Gupta
A sound understanding of the importance of intersections within a road network is a key factor forth efficient and effective management and control of transport networks when traffic operations are saturated. Conventional indices (e.g. level of service, degree of saturation, capacity or delay) reflect only the states of an intersection itself, but lack the ability to describe the influences among the intersections within a road network. To reduce traffic congestion at a grade intersection, one method is construction of flyover at intersection. The flyover facilitates the traffic flow in the direction of bridge, but the infrastructure cannot fully solve all of the problems especially on the secondary roads. Under the bridge, although it relieves the traffic congestion at the intersection, traffic signal at intersection also reduce congestion and accidental rate. Channelized intersection provides more safety and efficiency. It reduces the number of possible conflicts by reducing the area of conflicts available in the carriageway. If channelizing is not provided the driver will have less tendency to reduce the speed while entering the intersection from the carriageway. The presence of traffic islands, markings etc. indicates the driver to reduce the speed and becomes more cautious while passing through the intersection. A channelizing island also serves as a safety for pedestrians and makes pedestrian crossing safer. Traffic congestion on major roads depend upon existing bottlenecks at intersections is a major problem in India. To change this trend, this research was carried out in order to design effective traffic control mechanisms at the troubled spots in India. Traffic volume data was collected throughout the day. Furthermore, discharge headway and delay data were collected using stop watch. The geometric and traffic data collected were analysed using Microsoft Excel. An appraisal of Maui Intersection indicated that the major contributors to traffic are trucks, passenger cars, motorcycles and other modes of transportation traversing the intersection. Read More...

Condition Monitoring of Single Point Cutting Tool Wear
-Mr. Shailendra Narayan More
Metal cutting plays an important role in the present day manufacturing. Over the years, the manufacturing industry has matured by introducing new materials and processes. Superior manufacturing facilities, with the state of the art technology processes are now available, catering to the stringent product requirements, like form, fit and function. They generate surface finishes that produce the right texture enhancing the products aesthetic appeal or satisfying the designer’s functional requirements. The product quality has been built into the product, with every aspect of the process studied, monitored and excelled. With the advent of computer technology and its allied growth in the software industry, newer computing techniques and algorithms push the technology to its limits and application engineers are curious to study the impact of these in various situations that may interest them. As manufacturing brings to life the various abstract designs, there exists a huge potential to create newer and newer products by various processes. This moots the study of the implication of such algorithms and techniques on these processes with a goal to manufacture better products in a shorter time, keeping the cost aspects low and complying with the quality requirements. This also opens up another related domain called condition monitoring. Condition monitoring studies are carried out on processes, machines, tools and the like. It is the periodic or continuous measurement of various parameters that indicate the condition of the tool, stability of the process or condition of the machine. The focus is to avoid producing parts that are out of tolerance or those which are in non-conformance with the specified finish and to avoid surprise breakdown of the machine itself. Some of the methods by which diagnosis is carried out include studying and analysing the wear debris, sound and acoustic emission, and vibration signals. Signals are acquired and processed in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain. Amongst these conventional techniques, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is simple and commonly used in industries. While the vibration signature is used as basis for FFT based techniques, there are several pre-processing methods by which noise and unwanted signals can be separated. Machine learning techniques (feature extraction, feature selection and feature classification) are recent methods used to perform machine condition monitoring. However there are different features and different algorithms that are used to classify the signals. This gives the basic motivation to study tool wear monitoring in turning operation using machine-learning techniques with an objective of finding the best possible feature-classifier combination. In addition, prediction of the surface quality using various parameters through different regression techniques is also of concern. Thus, this study has set out to classify tool wear and to predict the surface roughness from the features extracted from the vibration signals obtained during turning operation. Read More...

Analysis of Multi Storey Building for Different Earth Zones using E-TABS
-Vijayashree M ; Harish Kumar
In general, for the design of tall buildings, both wind as well as earthquake loads needs to be considered. Governing criteria for carrying out analysis for earthquake loads and wind loads are different. As per IS 1893(part 1):2002 and IS 875(Part 3):1987, when earthquake and wind interacts with a building, both positive and negative pressures occur simultaneously, the building must have sufficient strength to resist the applied loads from these pressures to prevent earthquake and wind induced building failure. Seismic Zonation may be termed as the geographic delineation of areas having different potentials for hazardous effects from future earthquakes. The term Zoning implies that the parameter or parameters that characterize the hazard have a constant value in each zone. We obtain a rather simplified representation of the hazard, which in reality has continuous variation. A seismic zone is a region in which the rate of seismic activity remains fairly consistent. A proper way of presentation of vulnerability versus earthquake intensity is to develop vulnerability functions such as those grossly developed for various building types under the earthquake intensities. An attempt has been made to check the performance of RC frame irregular building with shear walls for Earthquake loads in different zones in India. Dynamic analysis like response spectrum method is carried out to compare the results. Totally four different models of 12 storey with shear wall are considered for the analysis using ETABS software. Storey drift, storey shear and lateral storey displacement results are compared. Read More...

Issues and Operation Modes for Block Ciphers and Femtocells
-Gobinath C ; K.Sandhiya
Cryptography is the process of writing using various methods ("ciphers") to keep messages secret. In modern times cryptography is considered to be a branch of both mathematical and computer science. At one time the subject was mainly a linguistic one, the key concern being the ability to recognize words and make words unrecognizable with a simpler cipher. Public key cryptography is a modern technique. Encryption key is called the public key. Decryption key is called the private key. To attack a cipher is to attempt unauthorized reading of plaintext, or to attempt unauthorized transmission of cipher text. The Data Encryption Standard (DES) defines an indexed set of permutations acting on the message space. It is widely used in Banking. There are basically two ways to make a stronger cipher: the stream cipher and a block cipher. A stream ciphers are commonly used nowadays in hardware applications. One of the best known early block ciphers is the Play fair system. Read More...

-Kapadiya Hitesh Baldevbhai ; Vinod S Tejwani; Dipak G Parmar
Active power filter continues to attract considerable attention. Because of sensitivity of consumers on power quality and advancement in power electronics. Active power filter technology is the most efficient way to compensate reactive power and cancel out low order harmonics generated by nonlinear loads. An active power filter is a device that is connected in parallel to and cancels the reactive and harmonic currents from the group of nonlinear loads so that the resulting total current drawn from the ac main is sinusoidal. The shunt active power filter was considered to be the most basic configuration for the APF. This project presents 3phase shunt active power filter with uni-polar pulse width modulation technique to make the total input current drawn from the three phase AC main as sinusoidal, by compensating reactive power And low order harmonics generated by the three phase nonlinear loads. The synchronous d-q-o reference frame algorithm is also used to recognize and extract harmonic distortions. The validity of proposed method and achievement of desired compensation are shown by simulation results. Read More...

Load-Balanced Opportunistic Routing for Duty-Cycled Wireless Sensor Networks
-Pooja Swamy
In duty-cycled wireless sensor networks running asynchronous MAC protocols, the time when a sender waits for its receiver to wake up and receive the packet is the major source of energy consumption. Opportunistic routing can reduce the sender wait time by allowing multiple candidate receivers, but by doing that it suffers from redundant packet forwarding due to multiple receivers waking up at the same time. Thus, the number of forwarders should be controlled in a way that overall forwarding cost is minimized considering both sender wait time and cost of redundant packet forwarding. Also, in order to prolong network lifetime, candidate forwarders should be selected so that load is balanced among nodes. We propose ORR, an opportunistic routing protocol that addresses the two issues. First, the optimal number of forwarders is calculated based on forwarding cost estimation, which is derived from duty cycle and network topology. Second, the metric used for selecting forwarders considers residual energy so that more traffic is guided through nodes with larger remaining energy. The resulting routing protocol is proven to avoid loops and shown to achieve longer network lifetime compared to other protocols regardless of duty cycle and network topology. Read More...

Detail Study of Virtual Reality Environment
-Chetana S. Apraj ; Karishma Dalvi; Ankita Dalvi
Virtual reality (VR) is an interactive computer-generated experience taking place within a simulated environment, that incorporates mainly auditory and visual, but also other types of sensory visual, but also other types of sensory feedback like haptic. Augmented in reality systems may also be considered a form of VR that layers virtual information over a live camera feed into a headset or through a Smartphone or tablet device giving the user the ability to view three dimensional images. Current VR technology most commonly uses virtual reality headsets or multi projected environments, sometimes in combination with physical environments or props, to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensation that simulate a user's physical presence in a virtual or imaginary environment. A person using virtual reality equipment is able to "look around" the artificial world, move around in it, and interact with virtual features or items. The effect is commonly created by VR headsets consisting of a head-mounted display with a small screen is front of the eyes, but can also be created through specially designed rooms with multiple large screens. A Study on Behavior of Fine Grained Soil Mix with Pond Ash
-Narendra Singh Gaur ; Prof. Ruchin Agarwal
Due to rapid industrialization energy generation is increasing day by day. This energy generation by numerous power plants causes production of industrial waste. Generation of these wastes is a big threat to our society and environment. So we either have to find ways to dump these wastes safely or to use these wastes in a constructive manner. Due to specific advantages, materials like fly ash, pond ash have been considered as a replacement to natural soils. Soil stabilization is any process which improves the physical properties of soil, such as increasing bearing capacity, shear strength etc. which can be done by addition of suitable admixtures like cement, lime and waste materials like Pond ash etc. In this paper, the test results such as Index properties, Proctors compaction, and California Bering Ratio obtained on clayey soil mixed at different proportions of pond ash are presented and discussed. From the results, it is observed that at optimum percentages, i.e., 80% soil and 20% pond as hit noticed that there is a marked improvement in the strength of soil. The combination of 80% soil and 20% pond ash addition at the optimum moisture content to the clay soil is found to be a suitable measure to increase the strength of the soil. Read More...

Cryptographic Techniques for Wireless Sensor Network Security
-M. Suganya ; M. Lakshmipriya
The wireless sensor network technology is one of the largest data processing and communication networks systems which continuously developed for distributed environment in field of real time application. There are so many factor associated with it’s as Data security, operating speed, cost efficiency and additional sensor network constraints. Main consideration is about increase the security over existing attacks without affect the performance and complexity of overall wireless sensor network. Normally, two approach of symmetric key and asymmetric key data encryption technique is applied for it at sensor nodes. So, the proposed work is to explore design of cost efficient secure network protocol which reduces number of key transmission required in symmetric key encryption for rekeying task. In proposed algorithm mainly three steps are performed as key generation, data cryptography and data transmission. First generation of key is done by method of dynamic key approach using virtual energy value of sensor node. Then mechanism of symmetric key block cipher algorithm RC5 is performed for data cryptography. After that encrypted data packet transferred over the network using TCP/IP protocol layer in WSN. It also has performance evaluation to achieved benefit of lightweight symmetric key block cipher algorithm for proposed work in unreliable medium of wireless sensor network. Read More...

Applying the Transfer Learning Techniques on Classification Model - A Brief Survey
-Nisha Sathyan ; VR. Nagarajan
The major conjecture in traditional machine learning process is both the training data and test data. The future test data must have same dissemination and it should contain same feature space. This identical conjecture may not be applicable to many real world applications. The identical conjecture might be infringed when a new data emerges from another new domain while the older domain has their own labelled data. One of the domains may contain classification task and ample training data may persist in another domain and also the last-mentioned data may exist in different feature space and different data distribution concept is followed. The method of labelling is more expensive and the process of transfer learning can be applied to become cost effective. The learning performance can be improved and the labelling efforts can be reduced by transfer learning concept. The Boosted Transfer Learning (TrAdaBoost) concept is established and the users are permitted to exploit only a few amounts of recently labelled data to hold the old data to produce the accurate classification model for the new data with high quality. The Boosted Transfer Learning is compared with inductive transfer learning, transductive transfer learning and unsupervised transfer learning to prove that TrAdaBoost effectively transfers the knowledge from old to new data. ICI Cancelation in OFDM using Windowing Method in Time Varying Channel
-Deepak Kumar Singh ; Prof. Amit Chouksey
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a hopeful technique for attaining high data rates in mobile environment because of its multicarrier modulation. As the sub carriers are orthogonal in OFDM, the spectrum of each carrier has a null at the center frequency of each of the other carriers in the system. But in time varying channel the orthogonality between subcarriers are distorted due to Doppler Spread (DS) which introduces the Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) that diminishes the system performance. To enhance the OFDM system performance over time varying channels, an ICI self-cancellation scheme driven with the transmitter Hamming and Hanning windowing are implemented. The time domain Hamming and Hanning windows immediately after Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) cancel the ICI fractions from adjacent subcarriers significantly. As a result, the frequency domain channel matrix reshaped by the Hamming and Hanning windowing can be closely approximated to a strictly banded matrix. The estimation of the channel matrix is done with the assistance of the pilot tones in the Complex Exponential Basis Expansion Model (CE-BEM). The CE-BEM channel estimation performance is evaluated in terms of bit error rate for proposed system and compared with cyclic prefix OFDM system with time varying channel. Read More...
