A Review on Heat Augmentation in Triangular-Fin Heat Exchanger, using Rectangular Wings
-Ranjeet Basugade ; Rajkumar B. Patil
The improvement of the performance of heat exchanger with gas as the working fluid becomes particularly important due to the high thermal resistance offered by gases in general. In order to compensate for the poor heat transfer properties of gases, the surface area density of plate heat exchangers can be increased by making use of the secondary fins such as off-set fins, triangular fins, wavy fins, louvered fins etc. In addition, a promising technique for the enhancement of heat transfer is the use of longitudinal vortex generators. The longitudinal vortices are produced due to the pressure difference generated between the front and back surface of vortex generator. The longitudinal vortices facilitate the exchange of fluid near the walls with the fluid in the core and hence, the boundary layer is distributed. It causes the increase in temperature gradient at the surface which leads to the augmentation in heat transfer. An innovative design of triangular shaped secondary fins with rectangular or delta wing vortex generator mounted on their slant surfaces for enhancing the heat transfer rate in plate-fin heat exchanger. Dynamic Analysis of Leaf Spring using Different Composite Materials
-Yogendra Kumar ; Padmakar Pachorkar
A leaf spring is a straightforward type of spring regularly utilized for the suspension as a part of wheeled vehicles initially called a covered or carriage spring, and here and there alluded to as a semi – curved spring or truck spring or level plate. The configuration of leaf spring should be possible in two ways one the mono leaf spring or the multi leaf spring. Mono leaf spring is utilized for the lighter vehicle which comprises of a solitary plate. While in the multi leaf spring a leaf spring can produced using the quantity of leaves called cutting edges. The sharp edges are changing long. The cutting edges are generally given an underlying ebb and flow or cambered so they will have a tendency to fix under the heap. The leaf spring depends on the hypothesis of a light emission quality. The lengthiest edge has eyes on its finishes. This cutting edge is called primary or expert leaf. The remaining cutting edges are called graduated clears out. Every one of the cutting edges is bound together and is mounted on the hub of the vehicle. The whole vehicle load lay on the leaf spring. The front end of the spring is associated with the casing with a straightforward pin joint, while the backside of the spring is associated with a shackle. The shackle is the adaptable connection which interfaces the leaf spring back eye and casing. At the point when the vehicle runs over the projection out and about surface, the wheel climbs, this prompts redirecting the spring. A leaf spring takes the type of a barrel bend formed length of spring steel of rectangular cross- segment. The focal point of the circular segment gives area to the hub, while tie openings are given at either end to joining to the vehicle body. In this paper, survey and static analysis on different leaf spring materials, which are using in automobiles. Static analysis done on different standard load conditions. Read More...

-Aabha Sahu ; Lakhwinder Kaur
the human voice is composed of sound created by a human being using their vocal cord for laughing, talking, singing, crying, and shouting. It is mainly a piece of human sound creation in which the vocal cord is the essential sound source, which plays an indispensable role in the conversation. The applications of speech or voice processing technology play a crucial role in human-computer interaction. The system enhances gender identification, age group classification, age, and emotion recognition performance. The research work uses new and efficient ways for feature extraction of speech or voice and classification of the standard method on the various audio datasets. Previous formant extraction methods can mostly be classified into spectral peak picking, root extraction, and analysis by synthesis. The spectral peak picking methods and their variants have been widely used for a long time because of low computational complexity, but they often severely suffer from the peak merger problems, where two adjoining formants are identified into a single one. In this paper, we propose a new formant extraction algorithm that the short term spectral. In the proposed algorithm, the formant candidates are found by using the short term spectral method. It requires a data segment with a suitable length such that the harmonics can be resolved, and the data within that length should be approximately stationary. Windowing can be done to extract the required length of the data segment. Read More...

An Analysis for Task Optimization based on CPU Scheduling with Pipelining Techniques
-Sindhu Daniel
one of the most important components of the computer resource is the CPU. In multiprogramming systems i.e. the systems where several processes reside in memory, organization of processes is very important so that CPU always has one to execute. CPU scheduling is the base of multiprogramming operating systems. CPU executes one process at a time and switches between processes to improve CPU utilization. CPU scheduling strategies help in selecting the next process to be executed by the CPU. CPU scheduling is the basis of multi programmed operating systems. Most CPU scheduling algorithms concentrate on maximizing CPU utilization, throughput and minimizing turnaround time, waiting time, response time and number of context switching for a set of requests. Some of the popular CPU scheduling algorithms are First-Come-First-Served (FCFS), Shortest Job First (SJF), Priority Scheduling and Round Robin (RR). This paper describes the CPU scheduling algorithm with pipelining techniques. These techniques can be applied to any CPU scheduling algorithms to improve its performance. The analysis shows that the proposed system is better than the existing scheduling algorithms. Read More...

In recent years, with the proliferation of the internet of Things (IoT) and the wide penetration of wireless networks, the quantity of edge devices and the knowledge generated from the edge are growing quickly. According to International Data Corporation (IDC) prediction [1], global information can reach one hundred eighty Zetta-bytes (ZB), and 70th of the data generated by IoT will be processed on the edge of the network by 2025. IDC also forecasts that more than 150 billion devices are going to be connected worldwide by 2025. During this case, the centralized processing mode supported cloud computing is not economical enough to handle the data generated by the edge. The centralized processing model uploads all information to the cloud data center through the network and leverages its supercomputing power to solve the computing and storage problems, that allows the cloud services to make economic advantages. This paper provides state-of-threat coverage of edge computing topics and highlights the present challenges and future opportunities in this area. Read More...

Analysis of Piers and Box Girder in an Elevated Metro Bridge in Running Project
-Aamir Khan ; Prof. Kamini Laheriya; Prof. Kamlesh Saha
The parametric study on behavior of box girder bridges showed that, as curvature decreases, responses such as longitudinal stresses at the top and bottom, shear, torsion, moment and deflection decreases for three types of box girder bridges and it shows not much variation for fundamental frequency of three types of box girder bridges due to the constant span length. It is observed that as the span length increases, longitudinal stresses at the top and bottom, shear, torsion, moment and deflection increases for three types of box girder bridges. As the span length increases, fundamental frequency decreases for three types of box girder bridges. Also, it is noted that as the span length to the radius of curvature ratio increases responses parameter longitudinal stresses at the top and bottom, shear, torsion, moment and deflection are increases for three types of box girder bridges. As the span length to the radius of curvature ratio increases fundamental frequency decreases for three types of box girder bridges. The performance assessment of selected designed pier showed that, the Force Based Design Method may not always guarantee the performance parameter required and in the present case the pier achieved the target requirement. In case of Direct Displacement Based Design Method, selected pier achieved the behavior factors more than targeted Values. These conclusions can be considered only for the selected pier. Read More...

-Vishal Bhaurao Rangari
Grey Literature is materials and research produced by organization outside of the Traditional commercial or Academic publishing and distribution channels. Common grey literature publication types include reports working papers, government documents and white papers. Grey literature may be made available to the public or distributed privately within organizations or groups, and may lack a systematic means or distribution and collection. There has been increase in the academic and scholarly value placed in grey literature value placed in grey literature as an original and primary source of information. Also the rapid increase of grey literature in virtually all subject areas is becoming a challenge and gradually giving librarians great concern. This paper therefore, examines the nature of grey literature, how grey materials are acquired, and the challenges academic libraries face in the acquisition and management of grey literature. The paper recommends that acquisition of grey materials must be demand - driven, Academic Libraries should contribute to grey literature depositors, create more cataloguing records, and make those available more complete. Soft Computing Techniques for Forecasting Issues in Grid Connected Solar Power System
-Mayank Singh Parihar ; Manoj Kumar Jha
This paper analyses the operation of an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS)-based maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for solar photovoltaic (SPV) energy generation system. The MPPT works on the principle of adjusting the voltage of the SPV modules by changing the duty ratio of the Quasi-z-source inverter. The duty ratio of the inverter is calculated for a given solar irradiance and temperature condition by a closed-loop control scheme. The closed-loop control of the qZSI regulates the duty ratio and the modulation index to effectively control the injected power and maintain the stringent voltage, current, and frequency conditions. The ANFIS is trained to generate maximum power corresponding to the given solar irradiance level and temperature. The response of the ANFIS-based control system is highly precise and offers an extremely fast response. The main objective for a grid-connected Photovoltaic (PV) inverter is to feed the harvested energy from PV panels to the grid with high efficiency and power quality. Read More...

Behavioral science is not a new topic for the industry of occupational health and safety, as its roots can be traced to 1876, wherein two different fields of science of behavioral science and industrial safety are combined to create behavior based safety program for increasing safety of the workforce, as it often happens that the worker behavior is often tied to as immediate cause in case of workplace accident or injury. In this study a review on the present behavior based safety program, the targeted behavior. Further on, the study also aims to investigate if the process of the behavior based safety program is in control or not using the run charts from Statistical Control Techniques (SPC).The objectives of the study is to investigate the effects of the fundamentals of the behavior based safety program on the Safety Acts Index It can be deduced that though the percentage on the Safety Act Index has improved, the control charts show a different picture where the entire process is out of control despite there being an improvement on the run charts, which conforms with fact that the factory and industry is still in development stage where there is room for immense development. Another problem that was commonly given in the feedback is the lack of management commitment of leadership, inability of the leadership to appreciate the hazards and over importance given to bring productivity as compared to giving equal importance on safety and production. SQL Injection Attacks Types, Prevention and Detection Techniques
-Shakti Bangare
SQL Injection Attacks (SQLIAs) is the oldest approach to harm the web applications. According to Acunetix Web application Vulnerability Report published in 2019, SQLIAs is approximate 11% of overall vulnerability [1]. As we know dynamic web applications are interactive web applications from which a user can gain some information and he can also store some information though that application. So web applications have a database to maintain user’s information. To deal with databases SQL is used at server end. A developer design some query to make interaction between user and database but if developer not validates the SQL query then a malicious user can insert some valid SQL code through web page and gain access to the database which was not intentionally designed by the developer. Using SQLIAs a malicious user can steal some personal information, perform some unintentionally financial operation and modify & destroy information from database. There are various ways of SQLIAs by which a malicious user gain access to the databases and there are many solutions for prevention and detection of SQLIAs. Read More...
