One of the regularly heard reactions of AI is that machines can not be called shrewd until they can figure out how to do new things, new undertakings, process new exercises alone and to adjust to new circumstances, as opposed to just doing as they are advised to do. Alan Turing proposed an inquiry in the magazine once expressing that, " Can Machines Think ?". Nowadays a huge amount of data is open, all things considered, so it gets essential to collect the data and use it for dealing with future issues without any other individual with the truth of intuition dependent on past data.AI is a use of man-made brainpower (AI) that gives frameworks the capacity to naturally take in and improve as a matter of fact without being expressly customized. Computer based intelligence revolves around the progression of PC programs that can find a workable pace use it learn for themselves. The route toward learning begins with observations or data, for instance, models, direct understanding, or direction, in order to scan for structures in data and choose better decisions later on reliant on the models that we give. The basic point is to allow the PCs adjust normally without human intervention or help and alter exercises in like way.AI (ML) is the logical investigation of calculations and measurable models that PC frameworks use to play out a particular undertaking without utilizing unequivocal directions, depending on examples and deduction. It is viewed as a subset of computerized reasoning. AI calculations assemble a numerical model dependent on test information, known as "preparing information", so as to settle on expectations or choices without being expressly customized to play out the assignment. AI calculations are utilized in a wide assortment of uses, for example, email sifting and PC vision, where it is troublesome or infeasible to build up an ordinary calculation for viably playing out the undertaking. AI is firmly identified with computational insights, which centers around making forecasts utilizing PCs. The investigation of scientific enhancement conveys strategies, hypothesis and application areas to the field of AI. Information mining is a field of concentrate inside AI, and spotlights on exploratory information examination through unaided learning. In its application across business issues, AI is additionally alluded to as prescient investigation. AI is a subfield of man-made brainpower (AI). DGs in a micro grid as agents which requires only own information and the information of some neighbors. Input–output feedback linearization is used to control tracker synchronization problem and complex communication network used which improve the system reliability. The control is responsible to maintain the voltage and frequency of the micro grid within the acceptable ranges. To achieve a dynamic variation for the output active power ratios among the distributed energy resources, the distributive cooperative control has to adjust the references of frequency for the rated active power and the references of voltage for rated reactive power. The proposed control may lead to unacceptable voltage and frequency in the micro grid and has to adjust the references of the voltage and frequency consequently. The developed novel solution takes into account the converters parameters as apparent power limit and maximum active power which balance the system and improves reliability. The control parameters and its effectiveness for a desired response speed verified by the simulation of a micro grid test system. Read More...

AODV Extension using Cuckoo Search and Support Vector Machine for Scalable Routing in VANETs
-Pratibha Kumari ; Shivani
Vehicular Ad Hoc network (VANET) creates a network in which a number of vehicles are interconnected through wireless medium. The area of communication of every vehicle is defined with particular distance of approximately 100 m to 300 m. If any of the vehicles goes out of the coverage area, the vehicle came out from the network. The concept of internet over protocol is integrated as the use of internet is increases day by day. The problem on road such as traffic, heavy loads, accidents are becomes the main problem. For the transmission of data from one vehicle to another vehicles, vehicles used sensors that are implemented on board unit and thus with the help of internet the data is transferred. In this research, the network is also protected from the malicious node. As we know that the VANET is an unplanned network, which is formed by the moving vehicles on road and is designed to enhance road safety along with driving condition. In this research, a vehicular network is designed by using ‘N’ number of vehicles using a network area of dimension (1000*1000) height * width. A routing algorithm named as AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) is used to form a route between source vehicle and destination vehicle. If the performance of the network is degraded it means that there is an occurrence of malicious node in the network. To provide security to the network CS (Cuckoo search) along with SVM (Support vector machine) is used to optimize the route and to detect the malicious vehicle. After finding malicious vehicle, the vehicle is removed from the network and the network is secure. Read More...

Power Quality Intensification using DSTATCOM
-Vandana Kushwaha ; Rahul Agrawal
The most difficult thing is maintenance of the electrical power quality so as to make it lie within the acceptable limits. There are many disadvantages of poor and low power quality. It may result in higher power losses, abnormal and weird behavior of electrical equipment, and interference with the close communication lines, poor voltage profile, harmonics, sag and swells within the voltage & poor and low distortion issues. The increased use of power electronic devices has increased the tension on power system as it leads to generation of voltage and current harmonics and it also increases the reactive current. Nowadays, power electronic devices are used by the industries for many reasons like variable voltage, variable frequency and current control in order to get accurate controllability, better and higher efficiency, faster response and most importantly to make the devices compact in size. The fundamental problem here is the non-sinusoidal current of power electronic devices e.g. rectifiers and inverters that not only contain the fundamental component but also the harmonic components. The main problem arises because of the switching actions which these power electronics devices exhibit such as MOSFET, BJT, SCR, IGBT etc. Because of this switching action these devices acts as non-linear loads. In the last decade there has been several research works presented for the improvement of flicker perturbations between different consumers. In this research work, an improved D-STATCOM is proposed for the improvement of the problems that are encountered which portrays better power quality of output as compared to other power improvement methods such as STATCOM and others. For the comparison of proposed method, different parameters such as active power, reactive power and the most important parameter that is total harmonic distortion. The THD of proposed method is also observed to be improved. Read More...

Automatic Wheelchair Cum Stretcher
-Puneet Sunil Dugad
In India the percentage of disabled individuals is increasing every year. Mobility aids are essential for patients for transportation and a option for walking especially in indoor and outdoor environment. Moving the patients from wheelchair to stretcher or to the medical bed is always a major issue for the attendant or helper. Understanding the several problems regarding the mobility equipment and making a better design will be a boon for the medical field and assistance for disabled individuals. There is a need to introduce such a wheelchair cum stretcher to ease the disabled patient’s mobility and to provide a nobel medical equipment in the Indian hospitals for the use. Here we are developing a system which is capable of shifting various positions (Chair, Semi-Chair and Stretcher) manually. These positions can be achieved by a lead screw connected with a hinge joint. Lead Screw translates turning motion into linear motion. Also the height of the stretcher can be adjusted using a Hydraulic jack manually. It is placed horizontally which pushes against a lever which lifts the main arm. And also there is a lid on chair which can be opened to eliminate human waste. This is a cost reducing project which helps mainly paralyzed patients to do their daily things. Hospital, airport, railway station, shoping mall, etc are the places where Wheelchair and stretcher are commonly used in. Depending upon the necessity the developed wheelchair can very easily get converted into stretcher as well as surgical table. This mechanism of transformation can be operated manually as well as automatically. Vertical rotary motion is converted into horizontal rotary motion with the help of Worm and worm wheel mechanism .The mechanism can be made manual self-driven as well as motorized operated. As compared to the available modern automatic wheel chairs the developed chair is economical. Read More...

Introduction of Cryogenic & its Process
-Prof. Vijay Mohan Kulkarni ; Prof. S. P. Bhalerao; Prof. S. R. Upasani; Prof. Permindur Singh
Cryogenics is the branch of science of developing and analyzing low-temperature environments. The word cryogenics originate from the Greek word kryos, means “cold“; mixed with a short form of the English verb “to generate, “it has come to mean the production of temperatures well below those of normal human comfort. More correctly, a low-temperature atmosphere is named a cryogenic atmosphere when the temperature range is below the point at which permanent gases begin to liquefy. Among others, they comprise oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), hydrogen (H), and helium (He). The source of cryogenics as a systematic correction coincided with the innovation by nineteenth century scientists, that the permanent gases can be liquefied at exceedingly low temperatures. Consequently, the term cryogenic realated to temperatures from approximately–148°F (–100°C) down to. (Absolute zero is defined as the lowest temperature possible, a state where no heat energy exists.). Read More...

-H. S. Shravge ; C.N. Purkar; S. R. Upasani; N. A. Jadhav; B. A. Burkule
The SIM leads to a high decrease rate in the formation of NOx emissions. Because, the steam in the charge decreases combustion temperatures due to higher specific heat of steam and slower combustion process is carried out. The electronically controlled SIM was first developed by Parlaketal. This method yielded lower NOx emissions by 33% compared to standard condition for a single cylinder, naturally aspirated diesel engine. Also, the engine performance increased unto 3%. The investigation is done on performed on a single-cylinder, constant-speed, un-modified, direct-injection diesel engine using four different blends of n-pentanol/diesel which are: 10%, 20%, 30% and 45% (by volume). The possibility of using a high pentanol/diesel blend can be extended upto 45% was also explored with an objective to maximize. Read More...

Study of Variable Geometry Turbochargers (VGT)
-Prof. B. A. Burkule ; Prof K. P. Suryawanshi ; Prof. S. R. Upasani; Permindur Singh
variable geometry turbochargers (VGT) are used in almost 85% of cars available in European market. There is always some restriction to the volumetric efficiency of any internal combustion engine. Thus the purpose behind the study of variable geometry turbocharger is to overcome this fundamental drawback. If VGT is used in the IC engine, it would help to boost the engine on expense of the power which is going to be lost in the exhaust. Thus by using VGT, according to the amount of exhaust available at different engine speeds, it will adjust the AR ratio and constantly boost the engine, which increases the expansion ratio, Output Torque, power output and to get the increased results on an Internal combustion Engine. Study on Effect of Mixed Traffic in Highways
-Er. Neeraj Kumar ; Aman Phogat; Dr. Rakesh Gupta
Heterogeneous traffic composed of both motorized and non-motorized vehicles are a common feature of Indian roads. In India there are no separate lane of non-motorized vehicles and motorized vehicles, therefore the theoretical models fail to analyze the situation completely. This research mainly analyzes the impact of non-motorized vehicles on overall performance of traffic parameters. The use of non-motorized transportation such as cycling and walking is not only to reduce carbon but also healthy lifestyle and a physical activity. Non-Motorized Transportation includes all forms of travel that do not rely on an engine or motor for movement. This includes walking and bicycle, and using small-wheeled transport and wheelchair. These modes of transport can provide both recreation and transportation. For example, some people will choose to walk or bicycle rather than drive because they enjoy the activity. The importance of non-motorized transport can be summarized as In traffic engineering, speed is considered to be crucial part as it is directly or indirectly related with the geometric speed, traffic operations, congestion and capacity. If traffic is heterogeneous or mixed traffic, speed is affected as there is dependence of the variation and proportion of non-motorized vehicles like cycles, tricycles, cycle rickshaws, bullock carts and hand driven carts. ‘Non-Motorized Vehicles’ is refereed to different types of pedal powered vehicles used on the road. In developing countries like India, we generally can find heterogeneous or mixed traffic i.e. a traffic flow constituting of different types of vehicles like cart, cycle, rickshaw, car, bus etc. In Indian cities the share of non-motorized traffic at peak hours is almost more than 50 per cent. This share is even higher in medium-sized and small-sized cities. Different cities have different patterns of NMT use. Every public transport mode of transport involves access trips by NMT at each end. The flow of mixed or heterogeneous traffic is quite complicated. This mixed flow of vehicles leads to many problems like conflicts at intersections when number of non-motorized vehicle increases, when number of non-motorized vehicles increases it affects the speed and flow of other vehicles. It significantly lowers or reduces the capacity also leads to various safety problems. Read More...

Bus Navigation System for Visually Impaired People
-Rushabh Koradia ; Sujata Jaiswar; Chinmayee Khavale; Manasi Mhatre; Nilam Parmar
In today’s date various devices are useful in navigation for the visually impaired people, but there is no such device which helps the VIP’s (Visually Impaired People) in travelling. The presented project includes an app entitled as BUS FYNDER app, which can assist them for safe and secured travelling. Even though various attempts are made to help the visually impaired people to commute to various places with the help of devices like guide canes, talking signs and echolocations in navigating to reach their destination, but the main intent is not accomplished, that is it fails to join them with public transport. In this project we propose a route navigation system using B4A, PHP, CSS, HTML and SQL. The app is divided into two parts that are user side and driver side. In the driver side category, the driver sets the bus route, bus number and direction which are then registered into the database. Updated information is embedded into user side through cloud computing. In user side when user opens the app the current location is automatically fed into the app through GPS. After entering the destination into the app, the app helps the VIP to reach its nearest bus stop and required destination in secured manner through Google maps. This all will be done through voice messages. For this in every device we need to install talkback feature to provide text to speech function which makes this app more user friendly. There are certain features in driver app such as telling the VIP whether the bus is crowded or not, which is updated by the driver and then a voice message is delivered to the user through app, that the bus is crowded. The app contains a very simple GUI so that the VIPs can easily operate the app. This project is also aimed at helping the visually impaired people for independent navigation of bus. Read More...

Expected Opportunity Loss Criterion
-Thapaswini P S
In decision under uncertainty, decision makers have to choose one of a set number of alternatives with complete information about their outcomes but in the absence of any information or data about the probabilities of the various state of nature, we focus on avoiding regrets that may result from making a non-optimal decision. Although regret is a subjective emotional state, the assumption is made that it is quantifiable in direct (linear) relation to the rewards of the payoff. The classical approach of Savage Minimax regret criterion can be used to find an optimal decision and avoid regret. The savage minimax regret criterion examines the regret, opportunity cost or loss resulting when a particular situation occurs and the payoff of the selected alternative is smaller than the payoff that could have been attained with that particular situation. This approach is independent of the probabilities of the various outcomes: thus if regret can be accurately computed, one can reliably use minimax regret criterion. Read More...
