-C S Pimpale ; T D Pawar; A A Bhopale; A A Wardole
Chain multiplication of matrices is wide used for scientific computing. It becomes more difficult once there is sizable amount of floating purpose dense matrices. Because, floating purpose operations take longer than whole number operations. It could be attention-grabbing to lower the time of such chain operations. Now-a-days each multicore processor system has in-built parallel machine power. This power will solely be utilised once compatible parallel algorithms were used. So, during this work, a shared memory primarily based parallel algorithms has been projected to cipher the multiplication of a protracted sequence of dense matrices. The algorithms are tested with long sequence of matrices as input. The approach has been with 2×108 flops. The input matrix sequence length was generally varied from two to thirty. Most range of processors used was eight (Eight core processor).Different parameters like quickening, potency etc. were additionally noted. It had been all over that .The parallel algorithms might win roughly ninetieth potency at the best case. The algorithms additionally showed improved measurability. Read More...

Analysis of Helical Stair Slab using ANSYS
-Anuj Tiwari ; Satya Veer Singh
Staircase is used in buildings for providing access to pedestrian to different floors and roof of a structure. A Stair is a series of steps with or without landings or platforms, which is installed between two or more floors of a building to bridge a large vertical distance. These are designed as slab supported on the beams or walls or frame structure at edges of landings. The design is generally based on the guidelines by different codes of practices. No special treatment is given for varying support conditions and shape of the stair slab. The behavior of helical stair slab has been very difficult to be understood due to its geometry. Individual attempts have been made by researchers to get an idea of approximate behavior of its geometry under different circumstances. The real behavior of the stair slab may be obtained by making a prototype and testing it by applying various loads at different points. In this work we have analyzed helical stair slabs of different radii by modeling it in ANSYS. Three stair slabs of different radii ranging from outer radius 4.0 to 4.8 have been modeled and loads have been applied to get an idea of deflection and stresses produced. Stress and deflection contours have also been obtained. Graphs have been made for deflection and compared for the stair slabs of smaller and bigger radii. Read More...

Pervious Concrete is a unique, light weight concrete with large voids. It is obtained by eliminating No fine Aggregate from Nominal mix. It has low water/cement ratio and low installation cost. These types of concrete helps in increasing ground water table through precipitation. It also helps in reducing heating of the environment as it does not radiate any heat in the atmosphere as normal concrete do. Pervious Concrete also known as permeable concrete is used in the construction of parking areas, pathways, pavement, sports ground, gardens, parks etc. Here, experiment is done to determine the difference in compressive strength and void content in pervious concrete if sand is mixed in the design, in the ratio of 5-10%. It is done to find out at what point maximum strength with good void content would be gained. The Mix Design is prepared by P.P.C and 10-20mm size of aggregate with the changement of water/cement ratio from 0.3 to 0.4 in addition to % age of Ganga river sand. With the changement of water/cement ratio, the strength of sample would be changed. Read More...

In this venture, Voltage and Frequency are used to Control the speed of Induction Motor. The purpose of the errand is to structure a circuit arrangement of V/F and concentrate the effect of Voltage and Frequency on Speed of Motor. The acknowledgment motors run exactly at their assessed speed when it is related with the supply, various applications requiring adjustable speed exercises. Controlling the acknowledgment motor speed capably is an essential concern nowadays. With the snappy progress in the semiconductor creating development, the size and cost of the semiconductors went down fundamentally. Additionally, this lead to that the motor customer can exchange the ineffiecient mechanical motor drive with the inverter. This paper demonstrates the need of enrollment motors speed control. Out of various techniques for speed control of enrollment motors, system for V/f speed control end up being the most multilateral. The arrangement of executing V/f speed control displayed. The inverter is one of fundamental requirements for acknowledgment motor speed control by V/f strategy, the inverter customary control techniques is balanced using microcontroller which control the whole action of the proposed arrangement, an incredible control of V/f extent and smooth speed control been driven from the arrangement, the cost of the fair arrangement is less. The selection motor draws the assessed current and passes on the assessed torque at the base speed. Right when the pile is extended (over-evaluated load), while running at base speed, the speed drops and the slip increases. Further augmentation of weight on the post can back off the motor. The torque made by the motor is truly in respect to the appealing field conveyed by the stator. Thusly, the voltage associated with the stator is direct relating to the consequence of stator change and saucy speed. This makes the movement made by the stator in respect to the extent of associated voltage and repeat of supply. By changing the repeat, the speed of the motor can be contrasted. As needs be, by changing the voltage and repeat by a comparable extent, movement and consequently, the torque can be kept reliable all through the speed. Read More...

Carry bags have become a more convenient way to carry daily necessities. Most of carry bags found which are made of plastics. Plastic packs are one of the most exceedingly bad and most pointless plastic polluters of the earth. Despite of all known hazards of plastic pollution, Plastic bags are used on a large scale by retailers for a simple reason that plastic bags are much cheaper than paper, cloth or other eco-friendly bags. The project aims at designing a model of paper bag manufacturing unit which will manufacture paper bags from newspapers. Newspapers which people read daily, becomes almost useless on the next day. These newspapers are used as raw material for this manufacturing unit. The paper bags are designed by taking into consideration it is cost, load carrying capacity and aesthetics. These bags are tested for standard conditions and were found to have enough strength to replace 20-micron plastic bags. This project is based on reuse of newspapers instead of any recycled papers. It also aims on reducing the time required for manufacturing newspaper bags manually, so as to decrease the cost of bags. Project is semi-automated so that mass production of bags can be achieved, so as to make its production cost comparable to plastic bags and inherently increase its production rate so as to fulfill the ever-increasing demand in India. -Pasupathi. K ; Praveen. S; Murugesan. R; Poovarasan. B; Rahul. P. S
Hydraulic vehicle lifter is a device that uses force to lift heavy loads. The primary mechanism with which force is applied varies, depending on the specific type of jack, but is typically a hydraulic cylinder. Hydraulic vehicle lifter can be categorized based on the type of force they employ: mechanical or hydraulic. Mechanical jacks, such as car jacks and house jacks, lift heavy equipment and are rated based on lifting capacity for example, the number of tons they can lift. Hydraulic jack tend to be stronger and can lift heavier loads higher, and include bottle jacks and floor jacks. Hydraulic jacks depend on force generated by pressure. Essentially, if two cylinders a large and a small one are connected and force is applied to one cylinder, equal pressure is generated in both cylinders. Read More...

Intensive Data Monitoring and Analysis using IoT
-Riddhi Patankar ; Shruti Angane; Nikita Dike; Aishwarya Ambekar; Prof. Manivannan PA
Industry 4.0 has been a hot topic from the time when it was first introduced, and which primarily focuses on the automation of factories and the implementation of IoT in industries. It enables industrial advancements with the help of advanced computing, analytics, low cost sensing, and new levels of connectivity enabled through the Internet. Some of the technologies supporting this revolution are cloud services, big data analytics, and pervasive, intelligent, sensing technologies. The significant benefits of using intelligent sensing technology in industries are accuracy and consistency, which enable functions such as picking, placing, labeling, and printing to be performed at higher production rates, leading to low wastage, minimal down time, and better quality control. These capabilities have made industrial smart sensors capable of more complex data processing enabled within the sensor unit while being independent of PLC. Given these abilities, it is quite certain that the manufacturing industry majorly depends on smart sensor devices in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the source data, and eventually will hinge on the reliability of the information for the process chain. Though intelligent sensors are indispensable in Industry 4.0, there still exist obstacles for sensors to be widely adopted in the production environment. These days, two trends are extremely popular in researching and developing sensors. First is developing integrated sensors, which is inclined to supplying an advanced level of Information by directly estimating the sensed data. Second is the augmentation of multisensory systems, which allows huge quantities of data to be acquired in the system. With the integration of microcontroller and other electronic components, industrial smart sensors are proficient in performing significant functions such as data conversion, bi-directional communication, and taking decisions in an industrial set up. Nevertheless, these microprocessors are empowered with the IoT-enabled chipset for faster communication between the sensor devices and the control systems. There have been several developments in these chipsets, and one of it is the integration of intelligent sensors and other transduction essentials composed in one silicon chip; the broad system is called System-on-Chip (SoC). Some of the advantages of using System-on-Chip enabled industrial smart sensors include reduced costs of bulk connectors and cables, better signal to noise ratio, costs improvement, self-calibration, system reliability and multi-sensing. Performance Enhancement of Cooling System of a MPFI Multicylinder Petrol Engine by using Nanofluids
-Mardanali C Shaikh
Inclination of vehicle designer is to increase the power. Also his focus will be to get power-weight ratio as high as possible. For this purpose his interest lies in making the component parts as small as possible. Smaller component parts will help to keep the size, volume, weight less which thereby help to increase the engine efficiency. About 1/3 rd heat generated in the engine is rejected through engine cooling system. The heat load to the cooling system will increase by about the same percentage as the increase in engine horsepower. The cooling system occupies considerable space and adds weight on the vehicular structure. Above all the radiator also increase the drag force. Placing the component parts of the cooling system at the most feasible place it the major concern from the designer point of view. Conventional approaches and designs have reached the limits and only the cooling problem threatens to be the limiting factor, to both further increase in speeds and power as well as miniaturization of system to reduce the weight, volume etc. The main focus of this project is the physical testing and analysis of the data collected during experimentation. The engine cooling system design has been refined as a result of the testing undertaken during the project. The test data has been analyzed to identify the heat rejection requirement, analysis of heat transfer area available in radiator, heat carrying capacity of coolant, pumping power and other important design parameters.During experimentation it is seen that the heat carrying capacity of Nanofluid is relatively more than that of 50/50 water ethylene glycol. This not only reduces the surface area of radiator but also gives benefits associated thereby. The use of Nanofluids present various advantages such as
- Reduced size in cooling system
- Reduced weight of cooling system
- Reduced pumping power
All these lead to cost saving in manufacturing of operating (running cost). So it is worthwhile to explore further the viability of use of Nanofluids in various applications. Read More...
