Large number of roadways transportation has increased in the recent years and almost every capable individual has his personal car or bike. We cannot overlook the number of government transports as well the rickshaws and taxis. Due to this the intensity or we can say the number of vehicles has increased to a large extent which has directly or indirectly lead to a lot of accidents. Now the main problem what we face is the immediate medical assistance after the accident which leads to more number of deaths. Most of the time it happens that an accident has occurred and the accident victim is injured badly and is not in a state to help himself and which thereby reduces his chances of surviving. Here our project will provide a solution to this problem. When a vehicle will meet an accident the sensors and other equipment fitted in the system will sense or detect the accident and send a message to all the nearby hospitals through the server on the application and ambulance is sent to the exact location received by the GPS module. The hospitals will act accordingly and there will be much faster assistance to the victim as it was used to be before. So basically our project will provide a faster assistance and rescue to the accident victims and help save many lives. Read More...

Cloud based Vehicle Breakdown Prediction and Monitoring Driver behaviour
-Kapil Sharma ; Chinmay Tompe; Pavitra Vichare; Aradhana Manekar
The usage of vehicles all over the worlds has drastically increased during the last decade. Over 60 million passenger cars have been manufactured in the year of 2012. This rapid increase of vehicles has led to many concerns for a range of people and organizations where most of these concerns are common to all parties. For example, all parties (i.e., drivers, insurance companies, fleet vehicle managements, low enforcements authorities, etc.) are concerned about reckless driving and driver anomalies whereas drivers as individuals and people who are willing to purchase and sell cars are concerned also about the condition of the vehicle. Given the potential benefits of vehicular data analysis and the availability of technologies such as OBD, several vehicle monitoring and intelligent transport systems have been proposed. But, in almost all the systems proposed, there has been either simple or no processing of the data gathered from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) prior to displaying and are restricted to monitoring. Also they, hardly include a backend; therefore, are limited by the computational power of the smart phone. Hence, it is hard to predict any undesired outcome, such as an accident or a failure of sensor since they require real time and long-term analysis of data regarding the driving habits and the vehicle condition. In the proposed system i.e. Cloud Based Driver Monitoring and Vehicle Breakdown Prediction using data analytics, the task starts with collection of data from the cloud bifurcation and categorization of data for ease of use. The categorized data is to be passed through a machine learning process. In Machine Learning we plan on using linear regression algorithm for training the model. Amazon Web Services will be used for fulfilling the requirements of database. Bifurcated and categorized data will be available to the user on an Android application which the user will have on his/her mobile phone. Using this application user will be well updated about various parameters of his vehicle whenever is car is being driven. The analyses are performed both in real time as well throughout a long period of time. While some of these analyses are performed within the app, more complex and resource consuming ones are performed in the back end. Read More...

Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
-Hamidullah Kandahari ; Rakesh Kumar
Maximum Power Point Tracking is electronic tracking - usually digital. The charge controller looks at the output of the panels, and compares it to the battery voltage then figures out what is the best power that the panel can put out to charge the battery. This is just the opposite of the seasonal variation for MPPT controllers. Since panel temperatures are much lower in winter, they put out more power. And winter is usually when you need the most power from your solar panels due to shorter days. But nevertheless, this optimize output by following the sun across the sky for maximum sunlight. These typically give you about a 15% increase in winter and up to a 35% increase in summer. It takes this and converts it to best voltage to get maximum AMPS into the battery. (Remember, it is Amps into the battery that counts). Most modern MPPTs are around 93-97% efficient in the conversion. You typically get a 20 to 45% power gain in winter and 10-15% in summer. Actual gain can vary widely depending weather, temperature, battery state of charge, and other factors. Read More...

-Nitika Kapoor ; Reedam Chaudhary
The proposed work is destined to create an application that can virtually simulate the direction of growth of nanowire with the change in physical conditions like rate of absorption and desorption. To date, the modeling studies using Kinetic Monte-Carlo simulations have been primarily used to understand the crystal growth and etching processes taking place on large surfaces of 3D crystals. These studies typically simulate crystal growth on two-dimensional lattices using periodic boundary conditions. These simulation methodologies were later interpreted for whisker growth to relate growth kinetics with process conditions. The method chosen for the simulations is the Kinetic Monte-Carlo method, well known for its accuracy of the results it produces and the modest computational resources it takes. Read More...

-Bhagwat Khote ; Prof. Chandan Bhagat; Hitesh Vighane; Abhishek Joshi; Suraj Nair
Industries are basically meant for production of useful goods and services at low production cost, machinery cost and low inventory cost. Today, in this world, every task have been made quicker and fast due to technology advancement but this advancement also demands huge investments and expenditure, every industries desires to maintain high productivity rate maintaining the quality and standard of the product at low average cost. In an industry, a considerable portion of investment is being made for machinery installation. So, in this project we have proposed a machine which can perform operations like grinding, drilling and cutting. This project presents the concept of pneumatically powered multi-purpose machine mainly carried out for domestic purpose. Basically, the objective of this machine is to reduce the human effort, time and carry out number of operations simultaneously. It is economically efficient. It is designed as a portable one. The machine is operated with the help of air which is been used as a fuel. Since the machine uses air as its fuel which is freely available, the machine gets relatively cheap. Humans have applied energy through the use of arms, back and legs. With the invention of pneumatically operated machine, maximum of the human efforts are put to rest. The power generated with the help of air is multiple times greater than the power generated with the help of human limbs. In an industry, a considerable portion of investment is being made for machinery installation. According to some economists, manufacturing is considered to be a wealth-producing sector of an economy, whereas a service sector is considered as a wealth-consuming sector. Emerging technologies have provided some new growth in advanced manufacturing employment opportunities in the Manufacturing Belt in the United States. Manufacturing provides an important material support for national infrastructure and for national defense.
The pneumatically powered machine is having a very simple mechanism which is operated with the help of a pneumatic compressor. The aim of this project is to cut various materials like wood, poly vinyl chloride (PVC) pipes with very much less effort and quickly. This is very much possible by connecting the input slot of the cutting machine to an air motor. This motor is a planetary torque multiplier or a gearbox that is mated to a pneumatic air motor. At the end of the gearbox is a reaction device that is used to absorb the torque and allows the tool operator to use it with very little effort. The torque output is adjusted by controlling the air pressure.

The project titled Child Tracking System is an application that allows parents to monitor their child cell phone. All incoming and outgoing calls, texts and multimedia messages can be seen and interrupted by the parents, who can also monitor where their children are (through GPS), and access a history of where they have been and also check the browser history ,mobile applications. The parent can also block calls or messages to specified numbers These Days parents are worried about their childrens so they want a complete track of them and monitor them all the time, This is physically not possible so we introduce Safety Monitoring system which is helpful for monitoring or tracking the child and their activities from anywhere in the world. The major issue of child missing can be solved with the help of child tracking system as well as parents who need to keep a track of their every steps, this system plays a vital role. The android application uses GPS and telephony services to locate their childs location. This application secretly retrieves all the Call Logs, Message Details, Contact list and accurate Location without the childrens permission or without their knowledge as this application runs is in background and the major advantage of this feature is, if child reboots the Mobile phone the background process starts as the reboot is complete, so the process is never ending. This application sends all the data from the childs phone to the server and from the server to the parents phone in every 10 minutes interval. This application is divided into 2 Apps, one is for the parent where they can see all the activities of their children and other is the Child Part, where the child can only see a calculator while the data is been fetched in the background without childs knowledge. The Division of Overlapped Fingerprint using Speckle Noise Reduction
-Sonam Mishra ; Ravi Tiwari
A fingerprint in its narrow sense is an impression left by the friction ridges of a human finger. The recovery of fingerprints from a crime scene is an important method of science. Normally, fingerprint images contain a single fingerprint or a set of non-overlapped fingerprints. There may be situations where overlapped fingerprint can be obtained. It can be frequently encountered in the latent fingerprint lifted from crime scenes. It is essential to separate those overlapped fingerprint into its component fingerprints. The challenging work in separating overlapped fingerprint is the separation of mixed orientation field into its component orientation field. The region masks are then further used to separate the fingerprint. This paper proposes a novel algorithm that is fully automated in its approach to region masking the overlapped fingerprint image. The algorithm recognizes a unique approach of using blurring, erosion and dilation in order to attain the desired automated region masks. The experiments conducted visually demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm. Read More...

Comparison of the Materials for the Connecting Rod in ANSYS by using Fem Tool
-Mr. Rupinder Rathore ; Mr. Sanpreet Singh Arora
Connecting rod is the intermediate link between the piston and the crank. And is responsible to transmit the push and pull from the piston pin to crank pin, thus converting the reciprocating motion of the piston to rotary motion of the crank. Connecting rod, automotive should be lighter and lighter, should consume less fuel and at the same time they should provide comfort and safety to a passenger that unfortunately leads to increase in weight of the vehicle. This tendency in vehicle construction led the invention and implementation of quite new materials which are light and meet design requirements. Lighter connecting rods help to decrease lead caused by forces of inertia in engine as it does not require big balancing weight on crankshaft. In this present work static structure analysis of the connecting rod is done and find out the best material for the connecting rod. Firstly a connecting rod model is creating in SOLIDWORKS software and then it imported in ANSYS software. After it boundary conditions applied on the connecting rod. We have selected three materials for connecting rod analysis (Aluminium Alloy 7068, Magnesium Alloy AZ91 and Titanium Alloy Ti6Al-4V). The automatic meshing of the connecting rod is done after meshing the nodes is creating 4295 and 2203 element of the connecting rod. The axial load applied is 28000 N (Compressive) on the small end of the connecting rod. The big end of the connecting rod is kept fixed. Out of three the minimum displacement and stress is produced in the Titanium Alloy Ti6Al-4V with value 0.00021514 mm and 2.5842e8 Pa. Read More...

Laser Ignition System over Spark Ignition
-Mr. Utkarsh K. Mahajan ; Mr. Sujit D. Kolhe; Mr. Aniket S. Mohite
Energy demand in automobile and emission norms are forcing automotive researchers to develop new combustion technologies to comply with stringent emission norms being adopted worldwide and continue the quest for improving engine performance and reducing emission. Nowadays, combustion engines and other combustion processes play an overwhelming and important role in everyday life. Researcher and engineers discovered a new technology and powerful tool to investigate natural phenomena and improve technologically critical processes. The spark plug is widely used in various automobile engines as a source of ignition. But due to the increasing emission through the exhaust of vehicles emission norms are forcing automobile researchers & manufacturers to develop new technologies that can overcome this issue. So, to overcome this issue and improving the performance of engines in less emission the researchers are working on to develop the new alternate source of ignition by using laser pulses. Laser is a new technology and emerging source of ignition alternate to the spark ignition system. The flame propagation is fast as compared to the spark ignition system so in laser ignition system the air fuel mixture burns completely so there is no chance of unburnt gases it may helps to reduce emission. Laser is emerging as a strong concept for alternative ignition in spark ignition engine. Laser ignition has potential advantages over conventional spark plug ignition. Laser ignition system is free from spark electrodes hence there is no loss of spark energy to the electrodes, which are also free from erosion effect. Read More...
