Unified Machine Learning Tool
-Chaitanya Sanoriya ; Rachit Mann; Sarthak Sareen; Arun Kumar
This paper is a written illustration of a GUI based tool for Machine Learning. This paper, analyses the need and working of the Unified Machine Learning Tool Project. The central idea of this project is to reduce the efforts involved in machine learning model training and testing by developing a central tool, which provides a GUI based platform for the developers to easily achieve their task. The project provides options for, in which way model has to be trained. This project also aims to reduce the hardware toll, so that the enthusiasts can also use this project to start off with machine learning. This project improves upon the most common machine learning neural network implementation, the Convolutional Neural Network using face detection, which then produces a face only image of the person which in turns produces high accuracy models to recognize a particular person, and also using random image manipulations to increase datasets and increase the model’s ability to recognize any object in a non-ideal condition such as the object being in an angle with the frame and object being small in the frame.
This project also allows users to train model for mobile devices, as the mobile devices do not have the same amount of computational power as compared to computers, they require a mobile model which is very light as compared to their full-fledged counterparts. The project also features functionality of batch testing, in which the directory of the testing data is selected and the project tests if the model is correctly detecting the data in accordance to user defined minimum confidence/probability threshold, this batch testing mode is available for both a mobile model and a full-fledged computer model. The project also provides the functionality of testing the model with a single image file, with the Single File Testing mode and Mobile Single File Testing mode. The project features a Pro mode that enables the user to customize the training method and have greater control over how the model is being trained. This allows the user to get a more customized machine learning model. The Pro mode may include setting the number of rounds, settings custom layer names etc. This Pro Mode is also available for testing of a model, for if a customized model has to be tested. The project on boot up checks for python and its version as the fast retraining of a pretrained model, as this project does, requires at least the python version 3, and as this project aims to automate many functions that the user had to do manually it requires a lot of pre-installed modules, the project on boot up also checks if all the required modules are installed.

Design and Application of Underground Wireless Power Transfer Charging System in Electric Cars
-P. Sai Sreekar
In the recent years there is a significant development in the field of wireless power transfer. In the future, gasoline and oil powered engines are going to become obsolete. And hence as a result these oil powered cars and bikes are going to be replaced by EV also known as electric vehicles. Electric Vehicles (EV) are very much environmental friendly and they act as a perfect alternative source of energy .There is a gradual increase in the usage of electric cars. But there are also drawbacks and require a technological breakthrough to overcome them. One of the major drawbacks is the battery limitations and the time required to charge it to reach its maximum potential. In this project inductive coupling and magneto dynamic coupling methods are used to charge the batteries of EV. Wireless power transmission (WPT) or Electromagnetic power transfer (EPT) is the transfer of electrical power from the power source to a receiver without any physical connections by the use of varying electromagnetic field. WPT circuitry is placed inside the vehicle which gets activated when the vehicle reaches the charging spot on the road. The primary circuit is supplied from the charging station and the coils are placed under the surface of the road i.e., underground. Electromagnetic flux is radiated out of the primary coil and gets induced with secondary coil present in the EV. The induced voltage from secondary coil is then regulated, rectified and used to charge the EV battery. In this report different wireless power transmissions are compared and how Efficient wireless power transmission is done and control over electromagnetic induction and effective charging of battery will be achieved. Optimal Charging Strategy for Electric Vehicle Battery
-Ayush Ameta ; R.R. Joshi
The increase in the emission rate of green-house gases mainly caused by the transport sector has led to growing concerns of global warming. Also, the prices of diesel of the diesel and petrol based fuels are getting higher day-by-day. This demands the inclusion of hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the transport sector. The major challenges that come in the way for increasing electric vehicle penetration are the charging strategy. The constant current-constant voltage strategy is a conventional method used for charging the batteries. The developed charging strategy in this thesis work is a constant temperature-constant voltage charging strategy. The strategy continuously monitors the charging temperature and with the help of a PID controller and a feed forward current term a charging current is generated. The objective is to develop time optimized charging strategy for electric vehicle batteries. The dynamic model of the charging strategy developed in MATLAB/Simulink software. The simulation studies have been carried out in different operating conditions like varying the charging state of charge of the battery i.e. at 0%, 20%, 50% and 80%. A New Concept of Replicators in Nano-Technology
-Akhil Kumar Das
Sometime it is impossible to repair most ship damage without having to return to a starbase as a solution we can give a new concept about replicator in nanotechnology. Using this technology it is possible to produce spare parts that can repair most ship damage without having to return to a starbase. In nanotechnology replicator is very different in so many senses, known as "Star-Trek" machine. According to our new concept, replicators can convert matter into energy. Following that principle, the device can dismantle any object into subatomic particles. The ensuing energy can then be stored for future use or immediately applied in a subsequent replication. This process is referred to as "recycling", and is applied to everything from dirty dishes to outgrown childrens clothes. Read More...

Analysis of Integrated Skew Bridge for Seismic Loading
-Mr. Sachin G S ; Mrs. Geetha K
Bridges are the structures which are built over road, railway, etc for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacles. Bridges undergo expansion and contraction due to temperature changes which is the major concern. Here durability is the major design consideration. Routine inspection and maintenance is required. Bridges are classified based on material of construction, Function, form of superstructure, inter span relation, method of construction, span and type of service and duration of use. Integral bridges are built monolithically as one structure. They are also called as skew angled; integral abutment bridges, rigid frame bridges and joint less bridge. In integral bridges abutments are constructed integral with deck and girder. These bridges have no expansion joints and sliding bearings. As integral bridges provide greater redundancy they will be stiffer compared to the conventional bridges. The behaviour of 25m single span skew angled integral bridge is investigated with varying skew angle from 0 to 60 degree with0interval of 150degree Comparison between various loads like dead load, moving loads seismic loads by considering Zone II and loads combination like and UDICON (referring to IRC-6) for Bending moments, Time period and Base Shear. IRC class AA Vehicular load is considered for the study. From the results obtained we can conclude that the bending moment at mid and end span will be maximum for the bridge skewed for 60 degree angle. Read More...

Control Strategy for Distributed Generation Units through Active Power Sharing & Frequency Recovery
-Mr. Sandip Shankar Yeole ; Prof. Pawan C Tapre; Prof. Amit M. Solanke
Due to growth in the global population, as well as the increase in the use of devices that consume electricity, demand for electrical power has grown to unprecedented levels. However, the electricity supply has become saturated due to environmental, social, and geographical factors. To address these problems, attempts have been made to meet the electrical energy demand locally via Microgrid and distributed generations (DGs).Small sized synchronous generator based distributed generators (DG) often have low start-up times and can serve as dispatch able generators in a Microgrid environment. The advantage is that it allows the power network to operate in a true smart grid environment. The disadvantage is that such DGs typically tend to have low inertia and the prime movers driving these resources need to be controlled in real time for them to operate effectively in islanded, grid-connected modes and during transition from grid connected mode to islanded mode and vice versa. When multiple DGs are present in the Microgrid, the overall control can become complicated because of the need for sharing the resources. A smart grid environment is then necessary to control all dispersed generation sources in the Microgrid. The most common control strategy adopted for multiple DGs connected to a network is droop control. Droop control ensures that the load needed to be served is shared by all the generators in the network in proportion to their generating capability. When DGs operate in a Microgrid environment, there is a need for coordinated operation between the DGs, the utility grid and the loads. This project describes a control method for distributed generation (DG) units to implement recovery simultaneously in an active power sharing and frequency islanded Microgrid. Conventional active power–frequency (P–f) droop control is used for the DG controller, and the frequency deviation is recovered by the DG itself via self-frequency recovery control, without requiring secondary frequency control. Because the electrical distance (impedance) from each DG unit to a point where the load demand changes differs among DG units, the instantaneous frequency deviations may differ between DG units. These differences are fed into the integrators of the self-frequency recovery control and may result in errors in active power sharing. To solve this problem and share active power more accurately, a compensation control method is developed for active power sharing, which considers the droop coefficients of each of the DG units. Simulation results show that the proposed control method is effective. The control method was modeled and tested using MATLAB/Simulink, and the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. Read More...

-Anupama Singh ; Navdeeep Agarwal
Engineers are attempting their utmost to get the channel layout to maximize the flow and to minimize the scouring rate. This Research introduces channel design using Laceys Design Method. This technique is used by many designing firms for their project design reasons. This project focuses on the comparative layout of a minor channel that reinitiates from a parent channel. The main goal of this project is the comparative analysis of a canal and its Lining design and estimation. This research is intended to perform a thorough evaluation of the different parameters used during design. On the grounds of place, parameters such as quantity of water flowing per unit length, catchment area, type of soil, water table, etc. The primary issue encountered today is the absence of water release. This is due to some losses that can be detected by bad canal design. I will rectify this issue in this study by offering lining to the canal to save intake and other losses as water flows through the canal. I have also produced such a design that will require less surface area and provide more discharge. I have performed information analysis to obtain excellent outcomes and better comprehension.
