Accident Identification and Alerting System
-Siddharth Tiwari ; Anushka Humane
Accidents are the most common ways an individual can get serious casualties. This may be because of the poor driving of the rider, improper driving conditions, drunk driving, rush driving, not wearing proper safety measures and so on. The number of cases is increasing day by day and we think that there are not proper measures that can help the victims. Well this paper presents an automatic accident identification system for 2-wheeled vehicles, where it identifies the accident and sends the vehicles details that met with an accident to the concerned person. For this system we use a ATMEGA Microcontroller based circuit interfaced with a gyro sensor, GSM module, GPS module etc. Here we use a IOT (internet of things) based system as iot industry is booming a lot nowadays and is the most easiest way we can avoid casualties according to us. Apart from accident this project also focuses on emergency situation so there is an emergency button in the system which in undesired situation can manually be pressed by the user. Read More...

In this research paper our motive was to see what lies in the deep web, to know what we can find in the deep part of the web and to know whether it is legal or illegal to access it. Almost all us now uses internet for various purpose, to collect information, for shopping and many more. Generally we surf on the surface web means the web that we use is called surface web. All websites on the surface web are indexed in the search engines. There are actually two parts of the web. One is surface web and other is deep web which also contains the dark web which is by far the most anonymous part of the web. Certainly there are almost 130 trillion web pages on the internet seems huge but it only makes around 4% of the total content on the internet means remaining 96% lies in the deep web. Surface web is actually smaller than we usually think. The web sites on the deep web is not indexed by the normal search engines which makes it more anonymous. The deep web requires special software or Authorization to access. Software such as TOR, Freenet, I2P. TOR (the onion router) is most famous among them for accessing dark web. TOR avails you anonymous access to the internet. This browsers helps you to hide your IP address by bouncing the packet in the distributed network. Ultrasonic Distance Measurement
-Dikshant U. Nandanwar ; Rushabh D. Lawankar
This paper describes an ultrasonic sensor that is able to measure the distance from the ground of selected points of a motor vehicle. The sensor is based on the measurement of the time of flight of an ultrasonic pulse, which is reflected by the ground. A constrained optimization technique is employed to obtain reflected pulses that are easily detectable by means of a threshold comparator. Such a technique, which takes the frequency response of the ultrasonic transducers into account, allows a sub-wavelength detection to be obtained. Experimental tests, performed with a 40 kHz piezoelectric-transducer based sensor, showed a standard uncertainty of 1 mm at rest or at low speeds; the sensor still works at speeds of up to 30 m/s, although at higher uncertainty. The sensor is composed of only low cost components, thus being apt for first car equipment in many cases, and is able to self-adapt to different conditions in order to give the best results. The Heat treatment and carburization has been recognized by certain methods for improving the different properties of metals and combinations. In the present examination the mechanical and wear practices of gentle steels carburized at various temperature scope of 850, 900 and 9500C have been contemplated and it is discovered that the basic warmth treatment significantly improves the hardness, elasticity and wear opposition of the mellow steels. The point has been to look at the impacts of these distinctive temperature of carburization s and conditions on the mechanical and wear properties of the carburized gentle steels. For above reason initially the mellow steels are carburized under the diverse temperature go as expressed above and afterward it is tempered at 2000 C for thirty minutes after this the carburized and tempered gentle steels are oppressed for various sort of test, for example, rough wear test, hardness test, elastic test and the durability test. The aftereffects of these test demonstrates that the procedure of carburization significantly improves the mechanical and wear properties like hardness, elasticity and wear obstruction and these properties increments with increment in the temperature of carburization yet separated from this the durability property diminishes and it is further reductions with increment in temperature of carburization . The trial results likewise demonstrates that the mellow steels carburized under various temperature extend as expressed above, with in which the gentle steels carburized at the temperature of 9500C gives the best outcomes for the various types of mechanical and wear properties on the grounds that at this temperature it gives most astounding elasticity, hardness and wear opposition, so it must be favored for the required applications. Study on Sound Absorption Properties of Natural Fiber and Its Composites
-Archit Sharma ; Shivendra Awasthi
This research aimed to study the sound absorption properties of natural fibers and their reinforced composites. Sound absorption coefficients of three types of natural fibers, i.e., ramie, flax and jute fibers and their composites were measured by the two-microphone transfer function technique in the impedance tube. The results were compared with synthetic fibers and their composites. It was found that both natural fibers and their composites had superior capability of noise reduction. The multi-scale and hollow lumen structures of natural fibers contributed to the high sound absorption performance. Moreover, the sound absorption properties of these natural fibers were also calculated by the Delany-Bazley and Garai-Pompoli models.it also tells us how natural fiber reduces sound and as well as noise pollution. Eco-friendly green/ biocomposites were fabricated from chopped hemp fiber and cellulose ester biodegradable plastic through two process engineering approaches: powder impregnation through compression molding (process I) and extrusion followed by injection molding (process II). Cellulose ester, e.g. cellulose acetate (CA) plasticized with 30 wt% citrate plasticizer (CAP) was used as the matrix polymer for bio composite fabrication. Intimate mixing due to shear forces experienced in process II produced superior strength bio composites over their counterparts made using process I. Bio composite fabricated through process II containing 30 wt% hemp natural fiber showed an improvement of storage modulus by 150% over the virgin matrix polymer. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the said bio composite decreased from the CAP polymer by 60% whereas the heat deflection temperature improved by 30% versus the virgin bio plastic, indicating superior thermal behaviour of the bio composite. Plasticized cellulose acetate is proved to be much better matrix than non-polar polypropylene (PP) for hemp fiber (HF) reinforcements because of the better interaction of polar cellulose ester with the polar natural fiber. Fabricated through process II and with same content of hemp (30 wt%) the CAP-HF based bio composite exhibited flexural strength of 78 MPa and modulus of elasticity of 5.6 GPa as contrast to 55 MPa and 3.7 GPa for the corresponding PP-HF based composite. The experimental findings of tensile modulus of the bio composites are compared with the theoretical modulus using the rule of mixture. The fiber-matrix adhesion is evaluated through environmental scanning electron microscopy studies. Read More...

River is a natural source of water for house use, agriculture use, as well as industrial use. Generally river water is fresh and safe for use. Water is a very good solvent and it can dissolve so many substances either they are organic or inorganic in nature. Quality of water is decided on the basis of its dissolved and suspended substances which are either useful or harmful for the growth of living organisms. Our work was aimed to know the physical and chemical water qualities of Tamsa (Tons) River flowing through Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Quality of River water depends on pollution level in areas from where the river is flowing. Some water quality parameters such as Alkalinity, Total Hardness, pH, Total Solids, Dissolved Oxygen, Biochemical Oxygen Demand, Chemical Oxygen Demand, Chlorides, Fluorides, Sulphate, Phosphate, Calcium Hardness, etc are checked at various points. If limits of these water quality parameter are not as per the W.H.O. guidelines then it will be harmful for users. Read More...

Design and Development of Jowar Harvester
-Sourabh Sanjay Somwanshi ; Aditya Galinde; Akshay Panchawate; Varad Ithape
Agriculture is one of the main sectors of the Indian economy. Since many years, agricultural practices are carried out using human labour and traditional tools such as wooden plough, yoke, leveller, harrow, mallet, spade, big sickle etc. Small land holders cannot afford modern agriculture techniques and equipments since they are expensive and difficult to acquire. Same is the case with the Jowar harvesting process. Jowar crop is manually uprooted and then stacked into bundles. This process is time consuming and requires great effort. So, our aim is to build technology for the ease of farming practices and deliver them to the farmers. Developing a system capable of harvesting Jowar, which will help farmers to ease their manual practices. This will ensure large productivity with less human efforts. Also, by developing a cost-effective system, farmers can easily adopt this system and implement them. Read More...

This is a research study based on how Google search affect the intelligences of human brain. As search engine is mostly used by our young generation; depending on search engine can freeze the brain strength of the users. We came to learn that reading books for collecting information instead of searching it online can improves the brain capacity and sharpen the memory power. However it takes much time to recollect the earlier memorized data from the brain memory but it is proves better for the IQ levels and brain capacity. Back to decades, if you want solutions to any problem; encyclopaedia (a kind of book) is the only thing we preferred. Referring books improves our brain capacity and also generate curiosity towards the solution. Heap of information were also available online. Thus, Wikipedia displaced the encyclopedia .Due to easily availability of data online; the enthusiasm among the surfers (people those search information) gradually decreases. Read More...

Impact of Revised Code Provisions of Wind and Seismic Loads on RCC Elevated Water Tanks
-S. Midhun Prathap Reddy
Reinforced concrete elevated water tanks are virtal structures that would be expected to be functional even after the structure subjected to severe earthquake and cyclones in order to serve the water system network. This project aims to study, the effect of seismic and wind loading on elevated water tank, on the various design wind speeds and earthquake forces with the earlier and revised Indian codes of IS 875 (Part3) and IS 1893 (Part1) by using STAAD PRO (V8i) software. In this project the effect of wind forces on the elevated water tanks are carried out to determine the internal forces with different replacement of cyclonic factor percentages i.e., (15%, and 30%) and the effect of seismic forces are also carried out to determine the forces with both the impulsive and convective methods. The wind forces obtained are also lesser in both the post cyclonic importance of structure and in the industrial structures, when compared with the obtained base shear in both impulsive and convective methods. The obtained models are considered under all types of Zones and compared all the results with the Zone II. The obtained results are higher in Zone V. The analyzed models of the elevated water tanks are carried out in STAAD. Pro (V8i) software to find the variation of internal forces such as bending moments, shear forces, axial forces, support reactions and to estimate the reinforcement in accordance with the IS 1893 (Part2):2014 code provisions. The results suggested that when the models are compared by Zone III, IV and V with Zone II, the bending moments and shear forces in the floor level beams are high and the axial forces in columns are high at bottom of the structure. The reinforcement estimate shows high in Zone V for all the capacities of elevated water tanks in the Zone V, The results are tabulated in comparison with the IS 1893(Part2):2014 code, with respect to the Zone II for the elevated water tanks. Effect of Indomethacin on Trypsin Activity in the Norway Rat, Rattus Norvegicus (Rodentia: Muridae)
-Joseph Opondo Onyingo ; Syprine A. Otieno; Richard O. Odour
Rats belong to genus Rattus, and breed rapidly. Rodents pose the most serious threat to agriculture, humans, and destroy stored items and documents. All Other methods of rodent control are inefficient. Indomethacin, which is cheap with minimal side effects to man and other animals, causes 100% mortality in the rats experimentally, but with unexplained accumulation of undigested food in their stomach. This research aimed at determining the effects of indomethacin on trypsin activity in rats. One hundred and fifty female rats were divided into six groups of twenty five rats each randomly. Group A was used as control, while the rest (B,C,D,E,F) served as experimental groups and were given varying indomethacin doses of 12.5mg/Kg, 25mg/Kg, 50mg/Kg, 100mg/Kg and 150mg/Kg respectively, with five rats in each group euthanized at different time intervals of (1, 2, 4, 8 and 12) hours. The rats were dissected, the gut contents removed, and the digesta from the duodenum prepared for enzyme activity analysis using spectrophotometry. The results showed that indomethacin causes a decrease in trypsin activity in all experimental the groups. The group given the highest dose (150mg/Kg) had mean the least trypsin activity at 3±0.1 µg/ml, while the group given the least dose (12.5mg/Kg) recorded the highest mean trypsin activity at 113.5±0.03. The group euthanized after one hour had 113.2±0.03 µg/ml activity, while trypsin activity after 12 hours was 6.3±0.10 µg/ml. The means in each group were significantly different at p<0.05. The decrease in trypsin activity is directly proportional to the increased dose of indomethacin administered and the length of time taken after its administration. Read More...
