Efficient and Effective Location Recommendation through Content Analysis
-Aravind T ; Gayathridevi S D; Hari Kishore S; Bharath S
Location recommendation plays a vital role in helping people in finding beautiful places. The recent research has studied how to recommend locations with social and geographical information, but few of them addressed the cold-start problem. A typical method is to feed them into explicit-feedback-based content-aware collaborative filtering, but they require drawing negative samples for better learning performance, as users’ negative preference is not observable in human mobility. Prior studies have empirically shown sampling-based methods do not perform well. Therefore, a novel approach has been implemented which recommend location based on machine learning process. The user reviews are taken into consideration as dataset. Dataset are preprocessed and meaning of user reviews is understood by system automatically through NLP. Then new recommendation has been suggested through this process and data base is loaded. Hence our system achieves more accurate recommendation compared to other existing approach. Finally, we evaluate LR-NLP with a user review dataset in which users have profiles and textual content. The results show that our proposed outperforms several competing baselines, and that user feedback is not only effective for improving recommendations but also overcomes cold-start problems. The proposed system presents an innovative method for handwritten character detection using deep neural networks. It is an image segmentation based Handwritten character recognition system. This system uses an OpenCV for performing image processing using Tensor Flow for training the Neural Network. This Neural Network model recognizes the text contained in the image of segmented words. As this words-image is smaller than the image of complete text-lines, the Neural Network can be kept small and training on the CPU is feasible. 3/4 of the words from the validation-set are correctly recognized and the character error rate is around 10%. This system is capable to recognize the text written by the hand of a person. The system is divided into two parts. The first one is the android module, which is used for generating the input for the system. The other one is a server, which will perform the main operation of detecting the character of the text. In the System, the android device takes the input in the image form and send it to the server. The server takes input and starts evaluation, classification and prediction for the image data to find the best match word of the text document. The server creates the text document at last as the output and sends it back to the device. Then the android device shows the output received from the server. Read More...

The field of medical imaging is gaining importance with an increase in the demand for automated, reliable, fast and efficient diagnosis which can provide insight to the image better than human eyes. Defects in brain is the second leading cause for cancer-related deaths in men in age 20 to 39 and fifth leading cause cancer among women in same age group. Defects in brain like tumors are painful and may result in various diseases if not cured properly. A prime reason behind an increase in the number of cancer patients worldwide is the ignorance towards treatment of a defected area in its early stages. The determination of defect extent is a major challenging task in brain defect planning and quantitative evaluation. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the non-invasive technique has emanated as a front- line diagnostic tool for brain defect without ionizing radiation. The automatic brain defect classification is very challenging task in large spatial and structural variability of surrounding region of defected area. IOT Based Solar Energy Monitoring and Automation
-Ravina Shivkumar Nair ; Nikita Rajan Kangralkar; Nandita Nandkumar Patil; Dr.Sangeeta R. Chougule
Our project depends upon the combination of solar energy tracking and IOT based automation .Currently manual process is used to operate a solar panel. Even some automation is available but it is too costly. Hence we can use our proposed project for easy and cost efficient solar automation. The fundamental components of this project are LDR , Four Channel Relay ,Solar panel, 12V7A battery ,LM35, Motor, Wi-Fi module, Motor driver, LCD 16x2.In this project we are going to track the solar energy according to which our solar panel would be tilted. Two LDRs would be placed at the two ends of the panel that would sense the light and panel would tilt towards the light automatically. This would facilitate the user. Currently manual process is used to track the solar energy. But in our project we can do it automatically plus we can also drive the load which is our LED strip. The aim of the project is to develop the smart solar panel suitable for this generation .Now a days many companies try to offer solar panels with such an automation but they are too costly and not suitable for the common people and the ones in their budget are parallel to the ground that is without tilting which would waste a lot of energy. Hence, our project would facilitate the users with automatic solar panels in their budget. Read More...

Natural Ventilation in a Smart Building
-Deepankar Yadav ; Abhinav Kumar Sharma; Bhim Yadav; Niraj Gupta; Anil Pratap Singh
The design of non-domestic buildings which adopt a purely natural ventilation strategy is now commonplace in many parts of the world, and increasingly this strategy has been shown to be viable in city centers as well as ‘green field’ locations. However, the adoption of natural ventilation in tall buildings is less common. This is not surprising in view of the potential risks to a successful design. This paper explores the basic principles strategic options for natural ventilation of tall buildings, Base Isolation, and refers to prominent examples which have adopted a ‘mixed mode’ approach. The prospect of purely naturally ventilated tall buildings is considered in terms of the envelope design. The paper concludes that in terms of designing the envelope and its openings, the challenges for tall buildings are greater than for low rise, primarily because the potential magnitudes of the driving forces become greater and their relative magnitudes can vary over a wider range. Segmentation offers the least risky approach for envelope design of non-residential tall buildings provided the aerodynamic effects can be reliably accounted for. Tall buildings may also lend themselves to some forms of innovative envelope. Read More...

-Minendra Laxman Surve ; Avinash Nate; Adesh Bhonkar; Mandar Khadtar; Suraj Murkar
There are various types of motions achieved with the help of different mechanisms. As we know slider crank mechanism gives the reciprocating motion from circular motion. Slider crank mechanism widely used in industrial application while rack & pinion generally used in steering mechanism to obtain linear movement of vehicle wheels by the expense of circular motion of steering. Nowadays lots of industries require half orbital motion for mixing food, chemicals, gases, etc. Specially for mixing two gases (Novac-1230 and HFC-227) in proper proportion they require half orbital motion. In some of the industries gases combined by agitation process. Mixing of two or more gases by stirrer in cylinder causes chance of leakage or accidents because of harmful gases, to avoid this acting external movement is safer way to mixing of gases. Read More...

An Efficient Leaf Disease Detection And Classification For Agricultural Plant
-Sajan V ; Sanjay kumar R; Santhoshe S; Aruna T
Traditional scheme used for disease scoring scale to grade the plant diseases is primarily based on bare eye observation by agriculture professional or plant pathologist. In this scheme proportion scale was totally used to define different disease severities in an illustrated series of disease evaluation keys for field crops. In the past few years, researchers have studied a number of cultures exploiting different parts of a plant. The evaluation of plant leaf diseases using this approach which may be subjective, time consuming and cost effective. Also precise grading of leaf diseases is necessary to the determination of pest control measures. In order to develop this practice, here we propose a technique for automatically grading the damaged leaf area using k means clustering, which uses square Euclidian distances technique for segmentation of leaf image. For grading of leaf diseases which emerge on leaves based on segmented contaminated region are done automatically by estimating the proportion of the unit pixel expressed under diseased region area and unit pixel expressed under Leaf section area. In count, a contaminated leaf is classified into any one of the disease categories. Experiments are performed by individually utilizing color features, texture features, and their combinations to train three models based on ANN classifier. Read More...

A Survey of Utility and Management
-Siddhi Shah ; Ankita Thakkar; Payal Desai; Prasant Vani; Chirag Damniya
This research study about the utility of time management. Time is indeed the most valuable asset we have in our life, but yet we consider the unit time to be insignificant, mostly when we have to make efforts on calculating the remaining time for a particular task, so we often end up estimating the time duration. Our brain plans and tries to fit our activity don’t fit in that time duration we either end up with unfinished work or wasting more time. The spreading of applications allowing people to collect personal information opens new opportunities for Personal Informatics. Although many of these tools are already effectively used by motivated people to gain self-knowledge and produce change in their behaviours, there is a great number of users that are potentially interested in Personal Informatics but do not know of its potentialities and criticalities. We want to build a system which will help the people to make accurate decision of their work. This paper shows the remaining time of that particular day and make us more future oriented. It is observed that the decrementing numbers brings more focus and planning. Research paper will make user to indeed improve their memory and also emotional stability. Algorithms are used to show the goal set, activity identity and for chat bot. This system takes user activity as input and gives output of user activities which allows users to create comparison and identify the significance of each activities. Read More...
