Smart Contract for Educational Digital Certificate using Blockchain
-Mr Gaikwad Vishal B. ; Prof. Khatal Sunil S.; Miss Satpute Kartiki V.; Mr Jagtap Rajendra V.
Blockchain technology has evolved from being an immutable ledger of transactions for crypto currencies to a programmable interactive environment for building distributed reliable applications. Although, blockchain technology has been used to address various challenges, to our knowledge none of the previous work focused on using blockchain to develop a secure and immutable scientific data provenance management framework that automatically verifies the provenance records. In this work, we leverage blockchain as a platform to facilitate trustworthy data provenance collection, verification and management. According to various researches about one million graduates passing out each year, the certificate issuing authorities are seems to be compromised for the security credentials of student data. Due to the lack of effective ant forge mechanism, events that cause the graduation certificate to be forged often get noticed. In order to solve this problem digital certificate systems are introduced even though security issues are still exist. Blockchain is one of the most recent technology that can be adopted for the data security. The immutable property of the block chain helps to overcome the problem of certificate forgery. This paper proposed a custom blockchain for e-certificate generation for academic students. The implementation has done with multiple data nodes on peer to peer network. Read More...

Analog switches are fixed on switch boards that are mounted on the walls. To operate them user should go near switch board and press the switch to turn ON or OFF any device or appliance. This hassle of manually operating switch is replaced by a smart technique which involves operating switch using the android application in smart phones. The smart switch is a plug and play switch in which, user can plug device or appliance and can operate it from anywhere just by using an android application in smart phone. Even this smart switch facilitates scheduling mechanism where in , user can schedule the time period for which the device or appliance should remain ON using the same android application. The device will automatically turned OFF after the scheduled time period is finished. The switches are interfaced with few electronic components like Arduino Uno, Wi-Fi Module and Relay. Smart switches already exist in the market today, but they are very expensive and require additional devices like hubs/Routers for their working. Read More...

The Good Samaritan: The Key Difference between Life and Death
-Satish B.Ingle ; Parshik P.Pande
Among the reasons for India’s unacceptably high rate of road accident fatalities is the inability to get timely medical treatment for victims. Official statistics put the number of people who died on the roads in 2015 at 1,46,000. It is reckoned that a larger percentage of them could have been saved had emergency medical treatment been provided immediately. In a report in 2006, the Law Commission estimated that 50 per cent of accident victims would have survived had they got medical attention within an hour. A major impediment to victims obtaining timely help is the fear among bystanders that they could be embroiled in a police investigation or be subjected to harassment due to the legal procedures involved if they chipped in to provide first-aid, ferry the injured to hospital or even call for medical or police assistance. This is why a ‘Good Samaritan’ legal protection is vital. Parliament has not enacted such a law, but thanks to the Supreme Court and a campaign by voluntary organisations, the Centre notified guidelines last year for the protection of those who help accident victims. In this project, the survey is carried out to check the behaviour of the stakeholders and to spread the awareness of the “Good Samaritan Lawâ€. the objectives of this project is to acquainted the good Samaritan about their rights and to encourage the bye stander to help the victim. Cattle are an important part of human life and they are to be taken care of. A system to track and monitor the cattle remotely is required. Lots of people leave their cattle for grazing on open roads which causes traffic congestion. This system should be intelligent enough to alert the owner of the cattle with the current locations, if it is causing any traffic congestion. This project is about designing an android based application that is able to track the current location of a farmer’s livestock. This application can assist farmers to track their lost or stolen livestock. Currently, farmers needs to manually look for their livestock without any proper assistance. In addition, the process can consume a lot of time and energy. The current location of the livestock will be collected and uploaded by the GPS collar to the database. Once the location data is successfully uploaded, the livestock location can be viewed with the farmer’s android device. We use sensors to collect and transmit the data to Raspberry pi. Influence of the Initial Carbon/Nitrogen Ratio of the Substrate on the Production of Biomethane in a Continuous Reactor
-Fagbemi Latif ; Bouraima Safiou; Adamon G. David; Ekouedjen E. Karol
The prediction of biogas production is based on different mathematical models of anaerobic digestion. Several models exist and make it possible to describe the anaerobic processes with a reduced number of parameters but especially with various methods of resolution, thus posing the problem of the precision of the results obtained. The present model is based on the AM2HN (Anaerobic Model N°2 Hydrolyse Nitrogen) model and predicts biomethane production from the initial C/N (Carbon/Nitrogen) ratio of the substrate. This model has been implemented in Scilab computational software through a classical Runge Kutta numerical resolution method of order 4. The model is then validated by performing a comparative study between the results from the model and those from the literature under the same conditions. Simulations and comparisons with the results from the scientific literature show that the numerical results are satisfactory with respect to the experimental data. In addition, the cumulative volume of simulated biomethane decreases slightly as the C/N ratio increases in a range of 10/1 to 14/1. On the other hand, for a C/N ratio ranging from 16/1 to 22/1, this volume increases progressively and peaks at 22/1. However, the cumulative volume decreases slightly as the C/N ratio increases beyond this optimal value. In agreement with the results of the literature, it appears from the present study that the optimal C/N ratio depends on the type of substrate to be treated and in the case of solid substrates, it is between 20/1 and 25/1. Extended RSA Cryptosystem based on the Study of Number Theory and Public Key Cryptosystems
-Mr.Vijaysinh K. Jadeja ; Mr.Chirag R. Patel; Mr. Jignesh N. Solanki; Mr. Sohil A. Gadhiya
Security is required to transmit top secret information over the network. Security is also demanding in wide range of applications. Cryptographic algorithms play a vital role in providing the data security against malicious attacks. RSA algorithm is extensively used in the popular implementations of Public Key Infrastructures. In asymmetric key cryptography, also called Public Key cryptography, two different keys (which form a key pair) are used. One key is used for encryption and only the other corresponding key must be used for decryption. No other key can decrypt the message – not even the original (i.e. the first) key used for encryption. In this paper, we have proposed an improved approach of RSA algorithm using two public key pairs and using some mathematical logic rather than sending one public key d irectly.Because if an attacker has an opportunity of getting the public key component they can find private key value by brute force search. Determination of Stream Equivalency Factor for Toll Plaza
-Giji Sonia ; Vincy Verghese
The main disadvantage of building a toll plaza is that it increases the traffic on highway. Therefore, the aim of our study is to introduce a new concept of Toll booth Equivalency Factor (TEF) at toll plaza similar to that of PCU for mixed traffic conditions. The mixed traffic is converted into flow equivalent in passenger car units (PCU) and then multiplying them with number of each vehicle class by their respective PCU values and then adding them up. The PCU is a complex parameter and it depends upon multiple factors. Vehicle arrival at a toll booth is random inspite of the lane assigned to a particular vehicle category. Such mixed traffic in the same lane causes the variation in service time and hence reduces capacity. The vehicles in the lane are divided into four classes and mathematical models are developed to determine service time of a vehicle type based on approach volume and composition of traffic in the same lane. The service time is further used to determine TEF. The variation in TEF is explained on the basis of service time due to random arrival of vehicle and approach traffic volume. Further a concept of Stream Equivalency Factor (SEF) proposed will be useful to convert heterogeneous traffic volume in veh/hr to homogenous traffic volume in TEF/hr without actually determining the TEF factors for individual vehicle types at tollbooths. This work will be helpful for quick estimation of capacity. There are multiple phases in which study is carried out for identification of the problem, collection of the data, data analysis, then Paliyekkara toll plaza situated in NH 544 was selected to do the analysis. The current operational effectiveness can be drawn using data analysis and the parameters such as the Arrival Rates, Service Rates and the Number of toll booths are determined for estimating the Toll Booth Equivalency Factor of the toll plaza. -Sakib Ahmad Siddiqui ; Sakib Ahmad Siddiqui ; Ayush Shukla
Joining of different metals has discovered its utilization broadly in power age, electronic, atomic reactors, petrochemical and synthetic ventures essentially to get customized properties in a segment and decrease in weight. Anyway proficient welding of unique metals has represented a significant test because of contrast in thermo-mechanical and substance properties of the materials to be joined under a typical welding condition. This causes a precarious slope of the thermo-mechanical properties along the weld. An assortment of issues come up in unique welding like splitting, huge weld remaining anxieties, relocation of iotas during welding causing pressure focus on one side of the weld, compressive and elastic warm burdens, stress erosion breaking, and so forth. Weld remaining pressure and warm pressure have been dissected for unique metal welding of 304 tempered steel to 1020 gentle steel accepting 302 hardened steel as the filler metal. Essentially taking strain created as a list the powerlessness of the welded joint to pressure erosion splitting have been considered. It is discovered that when the filler metal is supplanted by Inconel 625 noteworthy improvement is acquired in the welded joint regarding decrease in pressure created and stress consumption splitting. Likewise the issue of carbon movement is disposed of by the utilization of Inconel 625 as a weld filler metal because of the opposition of nickel-based combinations to any carbon dissemination through them. -Mrs. S.A.Shete ; Vinayak Kulkarni; Abhishek Kadam; Shubham Alane; Ajit Waghmare
The objective of emotion recognition is identifying emotions of a human. The emotion can be captured either from face or from verbal communication. In this work we focus on identifying human emotion from facial expressions. Facial emotion recognition is one of the useful task and can be used as a base for many real-time applications. It can be used as a part of many interesting and useful applications like Monitoring security, treating patients in medical field, marketing research, E-learning etc;. We humans can easily identify the emotion of other humans without any effort. Automatic detection of emotion of a human face is important due to its use in real-time applications. The recent advance in GPU has taken many applications like face recognition, hand written digit recognition and object recognition to the next level. Especially the pretrained CNN based features better represent the images. Pretrained CNN features represent the most discriminative features and hence allows for better performance. Feature representation plays a major role on the performance of any machine learning algorithm. After observing unbelievable performance with deep learning models, we propose to use the deep convolutional features to better represent the given image instead of using the traditional handcrafted features. The downside of the deep learning models is that they require large datasets to obtain better performance. To leverage the use of deep learning models without the requirement of large datasets is to use pre-trained models. For feature extraction pre-trained Convolutional Neural Networks model (VGG16) is used and the concept of Deep Neural Networks model is used for classification. To show the performance of the proposed model, various face image dataset is used for the experimental studies. Based on the experimental results we claim that these unsupervised features better represent the images compared the handcrafted features. Read More...

Study on Vibration Analysis of a Multistory Building for Twisted Plates
-Parul Jaiswal ; Prof. Thakur Ramjiram Singh; Prof. Kamlesh Saha
Materials find applications in space antennae, aerospace structures and ship structures. For high temperature applications, the functionally graded material gives good performance compared to the laminated composite materials. The twisted plates have various applications in the power generation field such as generator and turbine blades. Due to light weight and high stifiness properties, the Functionally Graded Materials are economical as they require less power. Many of these plates are subjected to high temperature environment in these applications; hence functionally graded material is a good alternative to metal plates. The present paper will explore the free vibration behavior of thin twisted functionally graded material (FGM) plates. The vibration analysis is done using finite element method. An 8 noded shell element is used for finite element calculations. To model the FGM section, continuous variation in the material property along the thickness is approximated to a laminated composite section consisting of a number of layers and each layer is considered as isotropic. The material property in each layer is determined using power law. Material density, Youngs modulus and Poissons ratio change along the thickness based on power law. The first order shear deformation theory is used in the analysis of pretwisted FGM plate. Read More...

Analysis of RC Building Frame with Flexible Isolated Footing Subjected to Seismic and Gravity Load
-Vindhya Lodhi ; Pradeep K.T.V.
Reinforced concrete building consists of horizontal structural members such as beams and slabs and vertical structural members such as columns and walls that are supported by foundation system. The foundation support is assumed as either fixed or hinge support where the foundation transmit the loads from the structure to the soil medium which undergoes a settlement depending on the characteristics of the soil medium, which in turn causes vertical settlement and differential settlement and rotation of the footings, that results in redistribution of the column loads, the amount of which depends on the rigidity of structure and the load-settlement characteristics of the soil. Thus, the concept of soil-structure interaction comes into existence. In the present work, an attempt is made to analyse and study the multi-storeyed reinforced concrete building frames supported on isolated footings considering soil-structure interaction system, defining soil medium by springs of equivalent stiffness, subjected to gravity and dynamic loadings. A seven storey number of building frames are analysed and types of soil as medium sand supporting the foundation system to observe the more generalised effect of soil-structure interaction on building frames. The results obtained by analysis are used to study the effects of soil compressibility on foundation settlement, support reactions, column and beam forces in the building frames. The study reveals that vertical and differential settlements are found more critical in seismic loading compared to gravity loading and the values of critical support moment are observed to be more in flexible base system than that of fixed base system. This study also reveals that the variations in bending moments is found more in lower storey as compared to upper storey of buildings in gravity as well as in seismic loading. Read More...
