-N.Yadagiri ; S.Sandeep; S.Bhargavi; V.Madhu; Y.Hari Krishna
Non-destructive testing (NDT) have a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and technology industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage. The terms nondestructive examination (NDE), nondestructive inspection (NDI), and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) are also commonly used to describe this technology. Because NDT does not forever alter the article being inspected, it is a highly valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation and research. We deliver that perform heat treat verification (also known as structure testing) and case depth verification. Several techniques are adopted for evaluation of imperfections namely eddy current, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, ultrasonic and visual testing.Aluminium5086 has the good corrosion resistance make it an excellent match for yachting.Aluminium5086 has a tendency to undergo Stress corrosion cracking and is not used much in aircraft construction as a result and 5086 has been used in vehicle armor.Aluminium5086 is an AL alloy, primarily alloyed with magnesium. It is not strengthened by heat treatment, instead becoming stronger due to strain hardening, or cold mechanical working of the material. The eddy current testing solutions are also used to find cracks and flaws verify features, and test for aluminium5086 alloy and aircraft industry using this technique for measuring the conductivity of heat treated to aluminium5086 components to check hardness and tensile strength. Since heat treatment doesnt emphatically affect the strength, Aluminium5086 can be readily welded and retain most of its mechanical strength. Read More...

The analysis of the household waste composition showed food waste as the major component of the solid waste stream(40%-48.6%).The time required for compost formation depends on the nature of the waste , the amount, and the ambient temperature. A major advantage of the binas observed was that adequate control of the contents and process, prevent smell and fly nuisance commonly observed with other bins. For good housekeeping, the contents may be removed, the bin washed and set again for use. This type of onsite source segregation and composting waste bin is suitable for storage, segregation and composting of solid wastes at household level, as it prevents the attraction of vermin to wastes. The fabricated Waste composter which can be made at affordable costs is quite easy to use and maintained. In addition, house hold scan save the cost of engaging private service for their waste disposal as this bin allows for easy segregation of solid wastes at source in one device, including composting of the biodegradable materials. We recommend that the use of this bin should be adopted at household, community and institution all Levels for management of solid waste, view to reducing the associated public health challenges. Waste is a global issue and if not properly deal with, it possess threats to both public health and the environment. -Jitendra Singh Yadav ; Deepak Thapa; Pradeep K.T.V
The vibrations produced by the earthquakes are due to seismic waves. Seismic waves are the most disastrous for multistoried building. The safety and serviceability of any structure is thus endangered with the increasing elevation. Energy dissipating devices has the capacity to absorb significant efforts without damaging the structure and ensuring the protection of human lives and property. The fluid viscous dampers are the more applied tools for controlling responses of the structures. These tools are applied based on different construction technologies in order to decrease the structural responses to the seismic excitation. The objective of this study is to evaluate the performance of RC building frame using viscous dampers as energy dissipating device with and without dampers at different location by considering the floor displacement, story shear and story drift as seismic parameters by Response spectrum method. The building will be analyzed for different Model of RC G+8 building frame without Damper and with dampers near top and bottom at side face and corners. This study reveals that when number of damper is less, then effective location for placing the dampers is near base of the structure. This study also shows performance of RC multistoried building increases when the dampers are placed at faces rather than dampers placed at corners in terms of floor displacement, story shear and story drift. A Survey on Driver Drowsiness Detection System
-Aswin Kumar P M ; Shemitha P.A
In recent days, Driver drowsiness is one of the Major cause for most of the accidents in the world. The easiest way for measuring the drowsiness of driver is detecting the driver eye tiredness. The existing systems are providing slightly less accurate results due to low clarity in images and videos, which may result due to variations in the camera positions. In order to solve this problem, a driver drowsiness detection system is proposed in this paper, which makes use of eye blink counts for detecting the drowsiness. Specifically, the proposed framework, continuously analyzes the eye movement of the driver and alerts the driver by activating the alarm when he/she is drowsy. When the eyes are detected closed for too long time, an alarm signal is generated to warn the driver. The experimental results of the proposed system, which is implemented on Open CV with a single camera view, provides the good performance of the system in terms of accurate drowsiness detection results and thereby reduces the number of road accidents. The design and construction of an elevator. Elevator is a device that efficiently moves in building, vessel, or other structures. They are generally powered by electric motors that either drive traction cables or counterweight systems like a hoist, or pump hydraulic fluid, or raise a cylindrical piston in the form of a jack. During the industrial era, the development of elevators was led by the need for movement of raw materials including coal and lumber from the hillsides. The technology developed by these industries and the introduction of steel beam construction worked together to provide the passengers freight elevators in use today. The construction and installation of other systems of elevator in existence are quite expensive compared to the conventional system. In This Project work we are aimed to developing an elevator that does not use and electricity or any hydraulic system but more to the conventional system in order to save cost in construction, installation and maintenance. No electricity is the main objective work in the elevator process. In our day to day life we use conventional Lift which works on conventional energy mainly on electricity which is our daily source for travelling inside a building. But in village areas electricity is not present continuously. Also for People leaving in economic class society cannot afford lift in their society due to its bill and maintenance. Hence we have design a non-conventional lift. The lift, which can work without electricity by using several mechanisms. This type of system is just to eliminate electricity. Read More...

Swing Bridge
-Sonam Subhash Shinde
With the construction evolution and consequent roads and railways progressive development, emerged the need for the population to make crossings, not only to overcome geographical obstacles, but also to reduce the necessary travel time. However , one of the major problems until today has been the crossing of navigable waters. As one of the key means of global transport, server navigation could not be less important than the construction of bridges, which would affect its course. It was then necessary to find a solution that would enable navigation of rivers and at the same time their crossing. Since building bridges with adequate clearance for the passage of ships required a more elaborate work in terms of very high inclination, movable bridges became the most viable solution to this dilemma, despite all the challenges on their design. Nevertheless, movable bridges have not always had this purpose. In the Middle Age, these were used for protection against enemy’s armies. The design of movable bridges, have primary explored over the last century the typical three types of movable bridges, bascule; swing; and vertical lift. Regardless of this, innovative solutions are increasingly taking form. Read More...

-Karthick Raja K ; Poornima R
The Source Based Synchronization (SOBAS) protocol to securely synchronize the events between two networks. From this protocol, the nodes use their local time values as a onetime dynamic key to encrypt each message. During this manner, SOBAS provides an efficient dynamic en-route filtering mechanism, where the malicious data is filtered from the network. With SOBAS, it will able to achieve the foremost goal of synchronizing events at the sink as quickly, as accurately, and as done secretly as possible. This protocol reduces the number of control messages needed for a WSN for providing the key benefits of reduced energy consumption also as reducing the prospect for malicious nodes to eavesdrop, intercept, or be made attentive to the presence of the network. The requirement and employing time synchronization, necessary synchronization are often provided to the WSN application using half the energy needed for traditional schemes. Each analytical and simulation works are presented to verify the feasibility of SOBAS, because the energy consumption of the scheme under normal operation and attack from malicious nodes. Bituminous Mix Design using RAP
-Mavani Neel V.
Bitumen is thermoplastic material and its stiffness is dependent on temperature. Generally, in highway flexible pavement is made by using of bitumen. Bitumen is created from petroleum. In this process hydrocarbons are released which in turn lead to pollution. So, melting process of bituminous is very harmful. The pavement construction needs more than 90% virgin aggregates that consume valuable resources. The use of recycle aggregate will save the resources and it’s every 3 to 5 years flexible pavement need 40mm to 50mm thick overly on exits. Road layer increase the thickness of pavement, by using recycle In-situ reduce height of pavement which in turn benefit to the residential and commercial for proper drainage. The use of RAP in Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) shall have a large economic and environmental impact in pavement construction. This study purpose is to use RAP in varying percentage of bituminous mix and check the same as per MoRTH specification. Read More...

Phase Displacement by using Capacitor
-Shalaka K Kolhe ; Praful D Manekar; Deepak G Ghotole; Prof. C.S. Hiwarkar
The power supplied to the rural India is not always a three phase supply. Sometimes two phase supply is given to rural areas of India during daytime. Due to this, agricultural community suffers a lot at the time of irrigation which results into interrupted irrigation. To overcome this problem, we need to convert two phase supply into three phase by phase displacement. Phase displacement involves conversion of two phase supply into three phase from a healthy phase to a phase that is not supplied by the producer. When a single phase is disconnected during three phase operation of motor, it leads to improper functioning of the motor. To overcome this, use of single phasing preventer is used. Read More...

Thermal-fluid Characterization of Alternative Liquids of Power Transformers method of Numerical Approach
-Dr.N.Senthil Velan ; G.Rajamahendran; B.Ashok
The transformers lifespan depends importantly on its refrigeration. Mineral oils perform this work in the majority of the power transformers. However, this type of coolant has two main drawbacks: low biodegradability and low ignition point. Several alternative liquids are being developed in order to overcome these drawbacks. This paper compares their thermal-fluid behavior with a mineral oil by means of several parameters, such as temperature, flow rate, fluids velocity, convective heat transfer coefficient (h) and the cooling criterion (P). These are calculated using the numerical results of the simulation of a 3D-model of a Low Voltage Winding that belongs to a power transformer with ONAN cooling. The software COMSOL Multiphysics has allowed the simulation of the geometry using a physical model in which buoyancies and viscous forces are the only considered establishing the natural convection. As a result of the comparison, it is clear that the mineral oil is the best coolant liquid. Among the alternative liquids, silicone oil would be the second best coolant fluid, followed by the synthetic and natural esters, respectively. On the other hand, it seems to be clear that the 3D simulations can be used to compare properly the cooling capacities of the liquids. Read More...

-R. Sandhiya ; B. Yuvashree; M. Priyadharshan; S. M. Nares Kanna
The technology develops day by day which have a great impact on human life in different ways and these technologies are adopted to make our life easier. The LPG supply in our country is not done through pipes due to the limited production of LPG. The LPG cylinder booking at present is done through IVRS or online where people go through some of the steps given by Automatic voice system. The main problem in booking cylinders is that, the user do not know the exact status of the LPG gas in the cylinder which cause delay in booking the LPG cylinder. This paper proposes a system which make the user aware of the gas level and leakage in their cylinders and also alert the users about these by sending an SMS to the users. This reduces the delay in booking cylinders and avoids some of the accident due to leakage of LPG from cylinder. Read More...

Automated Essay Scoring
-Gaurav Katara ; Navidh Khan; Dinesh Chaudhary
Studies in Social Sciences have revealed that when people evaluate someone else, their eval- uations often reflect their biases. As a re- sult, rater bias may introduce highly subjec- tive factors that make their evaluations inaccu- rate. This may affect automated essay scoring models in many ways, as these models are typ- ically designed to model (potentially biased) essay raters. While there is sizeable literature on rater effects in general settings, it remains unknown how rater bias affects automated es- say scoring. To this end, we present a new annotated corpus containing essays and their respective scores. Different from existing cor- pora, our corpus also contains comments pro- vided by the raters in order to ground their scores. We present features to quantify rater bias based on their comments, and we found that rater bias plays an important role in auto- mated essay scoring. We investigated the ex- tent to which rater bias affects models based on hand-crafted features. Finally, we propose to rectify the training set by removing essays associated with potentially biased scores while learning the scoring model. Read More...

-Kashish Gajbhiye ; Giftson Saji; Naved Sheikh; Prashik Bhujade; Mimoh Naik
The solar panel is work by allowing the light into solar cells. The more light that impact on a panel, the result more power it will be generate. Due to the upwards angle of solar panels, they are more liable to a build up the dust and bird dropping. The dirt which is not clean with just rain. This is reducing the same amount of light impact on the panel and reducing panel output. The solar panel manufacturers and installers are claimed about the projected energy figures that based on the optimum performance of clean solar panel. Due to build up the dirt on solar panel, that can adversely affect the panel’s ability to meet that projected figures. So it is necessary and important to clean the solar panel in order to protect and get more power output. So we are design and develop the automatic machine which is clean the solar panel and improve the panel efficiency. Read More...

Design and Analysis of Connecting Rod using Beryllium, Magnesium Alloy
-Mr. A. M. Naik ; Mr. A. A. Inamdar; Mr. A. R. Nadaf
The connecting rod is the intermediate member between the piston and the Crankshaft. Its primary function is to transmit the push and pull from the piston pin to the crank pin, thus converting the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotary motion of the crank. This thesis describes designing and Analysis of connecting rod. Currently, existing connecting rod is manufactured by using Forged steel. In this, drawing is drafted from the calculations. A parametric model of Connecting rod is modeled using NX 10 software and to that model, analysis is carried out by using ANSYS Workbench Software. Finite element analysis of connecting rod is done by considering the materials, such as Titanium Alloy, Beryllium Alloy – 25, Magnesium Alloy and Aluminum 360. The best combination of parameters like Von misses Stress and strain, Deformation, Factor of safety and weight reduction for two wheeler piston were done in ANSYS software. Aluminium Alloy has more factor of safety, reduce the weight, reduce the stress and stiffer than other material like Forged Steel. With Fatigue analysis we can determine the lifetime of the connecting rod. Read More...
