Abstract

In this project, the complete site of the Sponge Iron Division was taken in to consideration where Risk Assessment Techniques are implemented to find out the hazards and control the risk. Risk Theories were studied and being implemented for the Elimination of Hazards. Sponge Iron Division’s hazards were deeply taken in to consideration and the risks associated with it will be reduced through various techniques. Risk matrix has been studied in details and how we can implement the risk matrix for the existing hazards in the Sponge Iron Division also being studied and will be implemented in this project . A detailed process of HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment) was studied and the technique of reducing the risk through HIRA will also be implemented in this project for the elimination of the hazards or for the reduction of the risks from the Sponge Iron Division site. The Hierarchy of Control also being studied which is also a part of HIRA and the technique will also be implemented in this project. In pursuing this objective, a detailed study of different procedures of Risk Assessment was studied and analyzed. Various techniques followed for the hazard identification and risk control and further work will be continued for the risk assessment of all the hazards individually and find out a solution for Elimination of Hazards and the control upon the risk.
