Abstract |
Functionally graded material due to their excellent strength to weigh ratio and stiffness to weigh ratio makes them perfect choice for aircraft and other mechanical applications. Modal analysis of FGM plate is carried out using first order shear deformation theory in Ansys 18.0. Mechanical properties of FGM plate are varying above and below the reference plane i.e., center of the plate in accordance with the simple power law distribution. The aim of our work is to study the effect of various boundary conditions, aspect ratio, thickness ratio, power law index etc. on frequency parameter. |
