Abstract |
|
The wastage of food is a common issue in society, and effective food waste management is crucial for improving environmental and economic sustainability. To address this problem, we have developed an android mobile application that uses mobile technology to reduce food waste management. This application allows restaurants to donate and share their food and leftovers with people in need. The app has various features such as user registration, login, browsing of available food items, adding items to the cart, removing items from the cart, and logging out. We have used Firebase storage and real-time database for the app's functionality. Any user who needs food can view the images of available donated food items by different users and add them to their cart. Overall, this app aims to connect food donors with people who are in need of food. By utilizing mobile technology and providing a user-friendly interface, we hope to encourage restaurants and individuals to donate their excess food and reduce food waste. |
