Abstract |

Mortar, a vital component of masonry construction, holds bricks and other masonry components together. However, exposure to high temperatures can have a substantial impact on the properties and operation of the mortar. The effects of high temperatures on mortar are thoroughly analysed in this study, including details on the material's mechanical and physical properties, the reasons why these properties degrade at high temperatures, and possible solutions. The findings of this study can help engineers and architects design masonry structures that are stronger, more durable, and able to withstand exposure to high temperatures. |
