Abstract

Wind is a observable natural gesture of air comparative to earth surface, especially in the form of air current gusting in a specific direction. Wind load is caused by difference in pressure. In these modern days, most of the structures are involved with architectural importance and it is highly impossible to plan the building with the aspect ratio of 1, which is responsible for structural collapse of buildings under the action of dynamic loads. Hence, in this work, a detailed study on the behaviour of aspect ratios for high rise building with and without the influence of P-△ effect has been carried out using E-TABS software package. In order to study the behaviour, G+40 RC Structure Building has been modelled in E-TABS and was analyzed by static analysis (Cp-coefficient method) as well as by dynamic analysis (Gust factor method) to study the effect of along wind and across wind response on the structural models, and also in order to observe with and without effects of P△ on high rise building, P△ analysis was done for both static and dynamic analysis. Typical results of variation of Displacement, Storey drift, Time period and Base shear have been included.
