As the blueprint for constructing garments, pattern making is a fundamental step in the garment construction process. The development and importance of pattern making in the fashion business are examined in this abstract. It goes over important ideas including pattern blocks, grading schemes, and grain lines and how these help with cutting and piecing together fabric pieces. During the industrial revolution, pattern making historically changed from bespoke tailoring with individually tailored patterns to mass-produced ready-to-wear garments with standardized patterns. These days, specialized pattern maker are essential in converting design ideas into functional patterns that provide manufacturers with precise construction and easy-to follow assembly instructions.
