Abstract

A viable plan for the provision of energy is offered by the distributed energy supply system. Among the several power devices that are utilised in distributed energy supply systems is the micro gas turbine that is equipped with a recuperator. Micro gas turbine recuperators have seen a number of advancements in recent years, which has led to a number of successes. Plate-fin and primary surface recuperators have been utilised in applications that have reached development stage. In addition, intensive research has been conducted on the thermodynamic parameters of the heat transmission route. There are several noteworthy accomplishments, one of which is the cross-wavy main surface recuperator that was created by Capston Company. The purpose of this study is to examine the technical advancements that have been made throughout the past few years regarding the thermodynamic performance of micro gas turbine recuperators. Plate-fin and main surface recuperators are the type of recuperators that are most typically used in tiny gas turbines. An examination of the correlation formula, the augmentation of heat exchange, the optimal design, and the impact of recuperator on the overall performance of the machine are all included in this study. Scholars have conducted an adequate amount of research on the plate-fin recuperators, and the findings are more complete as a result of this research. Regarding the main surface recuperators, which have just recently gained popularity in recent years, the findings of the research are not as broad as they might be due to the fact that they have a distinctive structure. Due to the high heat exchange efficiency and the absence of thorough research on primary surface recuperators, this will be the tendency of research and development in the future development of micro gas turbine recuperators. This will be the future trend.
