The objective of this project is to study the Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Aluminum 7068 MMCS Reinforced with Silicon Carbide(SiC) and Coconut Fiber (CF) by Powder Metallurgy Process. In this work-study an effort is made to design a completely new material through the method of metallurgy by adding Coconut Fiber (CF).This study explored the effect of Coconut Fiber (CF) on the Tribological behavior of hybrid composite Al 7068/5 wt. % Sic/Xwt. %Coconut Fiber (X=6,4 and 0).The research confirms the performance of wear properties by incorporating Coconut Fiber (CF) into the composite. The Sic-Coconut Fiber (CF) reinforced Al 7068 (aluminum alloy 7068) was studied. Metallurgy route was used to prepare the composites. Microstructures, the mixture of materials, wear and wear resistance properties were analyzed by Optical Microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope. |
