Rail accidents significantly threaten human life and infrastructure, prompting a focus on sensor technologies for prevention. With railways being a vital mode of transportation—carrying over 10 billion passengers and freight worldwide annually—the need for safety is paramount. This paper presents a railway accident prevention system utilizing ultrasonic and vibration sensors for real-time monitoring and early detection of potential threats, such as obstacles on the track. By implementing an Arduino-based safety system, the proposed solution aims to minimize accidents, reduce response times, and enhance overall railway safety. Simulations in Proteus demonstrate that this innovative technology can significantly improve the reliability of safety systems, making it essential for the integrated railway operations of India. |
