Design of Optimal Conical Camber for Minimum Induced Drag of a Delta Wing

Abstract

Minimising of the drag due to lift in supersonic flow is attempted herein. A flat surface wing is optimized for minimum induced drag for a supersonic Mach number. Optimal warp is separated into twist and camber. Wing for fighter aircraft role is considered. Supersonic optimal warp is also compared with that resulting from a subsonic Mach number.
