Abstract

Shell and tube heat exchanger are widely used in chemical industry power plant, petroleum refining, air-conditioning and power generation systems. The objective of this paper is to present an overview of literature dealing with the study of thermal performance of shell and tube heat exchanger. Influence of various parameters such as baffle geometry, baffle type, tube length, number of tube, shell diameter, pitch ratio on performance of shell and tube heat exchanger.
