Abstract |
|
The purpose of this paper is to obtain a comparison between Teaching Learning Based Optimization Technique and Taguchi Method in order to achieve optimal setting of turning process parameters (cutting velocity, depth of cut and feed rate) resulting in an optimal value of the Resultant force when machining Aluminum 6061(Al 61S) with single point cutting tool. The effects of the selected turning process parameters on Resultant force and the subsequent optimal settings of the parameters have been analyzed by using Teaching Learning Based Optimization method and Taguchi Method. The results indicate that the selected process parameters are more optimized in Teaching Learning Based Optimization Method than Taguchi. |
