Abstract |
|
Protecting the network layer from malicious attacks is an important and challenging security issue in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). In this paper, a security mechanism is proposed to defend against Cooperative Black Hole Attack and packet dropper on the well-known AODV routing protocol in MANETs. In this paper we proposed an approach for better analysis and improve security of AODV, which is one of the popular routing protocols for MANET. Our scheme is based on AODV protocol which is improved by deploying DRI table to identify black hole nodes and packet-monitoring algorithm to overhear the next hop’s action to identify selfish node in MANET. |
