Abstract |

In cryogenic system, cryogens are stored in Dewar or storage vessels. Due to heat leak from the surrounding, The Vaporization of liquid takes place, and the level of liquid decrease. So, it is required to measured level continuous or periodically. There are different types of liquid level gauges are available to measure the level of liquid for cryogenic system. The quantity of liquid can be determined if the level of the vessel is known. Capacitance type liquid level gauge is best suited for measuring the liquid level of cryogens because of its high sensitivity low cost, low power consumption and accuracy. Here a try will be made to design and develop parallel plate type capacitance liquid level gauge for LN2 storage vessel. |
