Abstract |
|
Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) is a specialised thermal machining process capable of accurately machining parts with varying hardness or complex shapes, which have sharp edges that are very difficult to be machined by the main stream machining processes. This paper studied the effect of various process parameters like: Current, Pulse on time, Pulse off time and Wire tension on responses like MRR and SR. Central composite design (CCD) is used for experimentation and Response surface methodology is applied for developed second ordered mathematical model. The adequacy of the above the proposed models have been tested through the analysis of variance (ANOVA). |
