Abstract |
|
The performance of an electric power system is improved by fuzzy logic controlled superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES). The superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) unit is applied on wind energy conversion systems (WECS) that are equipped with doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) during the presence of fault in transmission line. The SMES unit supplies power to the system during fault condition in order to maintain its performance. Simulation results without and with SMES connected to the system are presented, compared, and analyzed. |
