Abstract

Concurrent engineering has also been identified by business organization as a simultaneous engineering, life cycle engineering, parallel engineering, integrated product and process development. Concurrent engineering practices have considerably matured over the last decade. However many companies still face enormous challenges while implementing and managing practices of C.E. This is due to the increased complexity of engineering products process on one hand and lack of concurrent engineering tools on the other hand. So in this paper important tools of concurrent engineering are discussed. Also in this paper main focus is given on how to implement concurrent engineering in industry with its major benefits and obstacles.
