Shell and Tube heat exchanger is one of the most useful heat exchanger among all the other types. Because they provide relatively large ratios of heat transfer area to volume and weight and they can be easily cleaned. It is also use in the power plants, as a feed heater or in some refrigeration system. Different parameters like Baffle angle, mass flow rate, baffle space, pressure drop and number of tubes effect on the performance of heat exchanger. In the present study these parameters are optimized to increase the heat transfer coefficient and also to reduce the operating cost. |
