Abstract

This paper presents the development and implementation of an ON/OFF control experiment using in LabVIEW. The objective of this experiment is to maintain the temperature inside a room. An ON/OFF controller is designed to measure temperature and the LabVIEW virtual instrument is used to control the temperature and ensure that the temperature does not go beyond a certain set point. The output from the device is either on or off, with no middle state. An on-off controller will switch the output only when the temperature crosses the set point. If there is a change in outside temperature compared to inside temperature (room). The implication of on-off controller comes into picture. This paper gives us an idea about the development and design of a feedback control system that keeps the temperature of the process at a predefined set point.
