Abstract |
|
Leukemia is a group of cancers that usually begins in the marrow and results in high numbers of abnormal white blood cells. The bone marrow produces the cellular elements of the blood, including platelets, red blood cells and white blood cells. The differences between these groups lie on the texture, color, size and morphology of nucleus and cytoplasm. These white blood cells are not fully developed and are called blasts or leukemia cells. Image processing technique involved five basic components which are image acquisition, image pre-processing, image segmentation, feature extraction and classification. The most critical step in image processing is the segmentation of the image. In this paper we can review some of the image segmentation methods. |
