Abstract

In forensic analysis, large number of files are examined for investigation purpose. Data present in the files is unstructured text, whose manual analysis is tough task for examiner. Hence automated method is more useful than manual method. Clustering deals with finding a structure in a collection of unlabeled data. There are existing algorithms such as K-means, K-medoids, Single Link, Complete Link and Average Link. They simplify the process of detection of important information. In this paper we are proposing a new algorithm based on weighted matrix for text clustering for forensic analysis.
