Abstract |
|
The ceramic industry is known to generate large amounts calcined mud wastes every year. So far a massive part is used into landfill. This project work deals with the experimental and study of ceramic waste as a construction material. Further land pollution is prevented as ceramic wastes are utilized as a raw material for concrete preparation. The purpose of adding ceramic waste in concrete preparation is due to high price of coarse aggregate in the industry. In this project we have attempted to replace the ceramic wastes as coarse aggregate in various proportions and compressive strength of the concrete was calculated as well as various properties of the ceramic concrete are studied. The result showed that the strength of concrete mixes containing recycled ceramic waste aggregates are likely when compared to the usual conventional concrete. This shows that the recycled ceramic waste aggregate satisfies and possibly can be employed as coarse aggregates in making concrete. |
