Abstract

This project presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to find the suitability of metakaolin and fly ash in production of concrete. The conventional concrete M25 was made using OPC 53 grade and the other mixes were prepared by replacing part of OPC with metakaolin and fly ash. The replacement metakaolin levels were 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and fly ash for all mix 5%. To evaluate optimize ratio and mechanical properties of metakaolin based concrete and compared with conventional mix. From the optimization 20% cement replacement by metakaolin superior than all the mixes.
