Abstract

Incorporating smart phones and vehicles is becoming a developing trend, predominantly in access control systems to unlock vehicles, as smart phones have become very popular and multipurpose device. Smartphone-based automotive solutions promise to greatly enhance the user’s experience by providing advanced features far beyond the conventional dedicated tokens/transponders. In this paper, NFC enabled smart phones are used to unlock vehicles, providing high range of security.
