Abstract

Monitoring of diabetics and BMI (Body Mass Index) is used in many medical field and research applications. This paper suggests a method for performing highly accurate recognition of pressure, sugar, height from data collected by a shoe monitor (Smart Shoe) through sensors. This paper describes the prototype of the Smart Diabetic Shoe that has been developed in the context of biomedical project. The objective is to prevent pressure from foot for diabetic persons. Signals from pressure and sugar sensors embedded in Smart Shoe are used as raw sensor data. Pressure can also be controlled by giving a minimum amount of shock. Data’s from the sensors are sending through GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) to mobile phones. In case of risks for pressure ulcer, an alert is sent to the person and/or to the clinician. A watch, a smart-phone or a distant laptop can be used for providing such alert.
