Abstract |

Shape recognition application of computer vision nowadays plays a vital role in understanding of an image. A method was developed for detecting two dimensional geometrical shapes of objects in an image without training database. The images can be real image, a virtual image or hand drawn image. The algorithm recognizes shape type with the help of shape metrics and then recognizes shape by segmenting images into individual objects corresponding to their regions. |
