On chip cache memories contribute a large fraction to the total power consumption of microprocessor. High-performance large-capacity Static Random Access Memories (SRAM) is an important component in the memory hierarchy of modern computing systems. SRAM design requires a balancing act between delay, area, and power consumption. So, various transistor configurations are used according to the application required. |
