Abstract |

Object detection and tracking are important and challenging tasks in many computer vision applications such as surveillance, vehicle navigation and autonomous robot navigation.. It is a very time consuming process due to the amount of data contained in video.The next challenge is the possible need to use object recognition technique for tracking.The other issues are: occlusion problem, changing levels of illumination,changing orientation of objects over time. This paper presents various methods like kalman filter,TCM that have been developed to counter these difficulties and some succeeded upto a level but still a lot of work is required in this. |
