The growing demand of higher voltages, it is desirable to use the reliable and optimal transformer. A transformer is a tailor-made product. The design of a transformer depends to a large extent on the specific requirements of the customer. A modern computer has led to a greater insight into transformer design procedures with some empirical relationships and values. The optimization of multi-objective is crucial to the configuration design of industrial product, especially to the design of transformer. The proposed MODM method, an algorithm based on PSO technique which is population based global search method. The optimization techniques have been developed to solve the design of transformer problem. The aim of the transformer design optimization is to define the dimensions of all the parts of the transformer, based on the given specification, using available materials economically in order to achieve lower cost, lower weight, reduced size & better operating performance. |
