Abstract |

In this paper, a passive suspension system and the active suspension control of a vehicle model that has seven degrees of freedom using a PID controller is studied. Here, for analysis a linear 7-DOF i.e. full car model is used for the analysis. Firstly the mathematical modeling is done and the simulations are carried out in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The model is simulated for various road inputs like step and ramp inputs. At the end of the study it is observed that PID controller gives the better ride comfort. |
