Abstract

Peer-to-peer (P2P) networking is a distributed application architecture that partitions tasks or workloads among peers. Peers are equally privileged, equipotent participants in the application. This paper is reviewed the state of research on the important topic in the field of information interchange that is identity based cryptography which more or less extension of the public key cryptography field. The paper starts with analyzing the fundamental concepts of identity based cryptography system. Identity-based cryptography (IBC) was introduced into peer-to-peer (P2P) networks for identity verification and authentication purposes. However, current IBC-based solutions are unable to solve the problem of secure private key issuing. In this paper, we propose a secure key issuing system by using an IBC for P2P networks. Moreover, for maintaining the security of KPAs, we are developing a system to authenticate KPAs using Byzantine fault tolerance protocol.
