This paper presents a new solution for human-computer interaction that utilizes hand gestures for intuitive operation without any devices restraining the hand freedom. The proposed system is able to completely replace a mouse as a pointing device. Moreover, it extends mouse capabilities by a set of hand gestures. The system is a gesture-based interface, and a simple webcam is sufficient for proper operation. The article reveals concepts and algorithms used for construction of the system. Conventionally keyboard or mouse is being used as mode of input. But here the proposing gestures formed by various color markers as mode of input. So without need of any physical hardware in hand we can interact with machine with the help of just color markers placed on fingers. |
