Soret and Dufour effects on heat and mass transfer in buoyancy driven steady flow of a chemically reacting, hydromagnetic fluid over a rotating cone in a uniform non Darcian porous medium are investigated. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations are transformed into non dimensional nonlinear ordinary differential equations using a similarity transformation and are solved numerically by using MATLAB’s built in solver bvp4c. Comparisons with previously published work are performed and found to be in excellent agreement. Graphical results are presented to show the influence of the Dufour number, Soret number, dimensionless chemical reaction parameter and order of the chemical reaction. It is concluded that the Soret number, Dufour number and the order of the chemical reaction play a crucial role on the heat and mass transfer. |
