Magnetic resonance images are further complicated due to the limitations in the imaging equipment that lead to a non-linear gain artifact in the images. In addition, motion artifacts due to voluntary or involuntary movement of the patient degrade the signal during the scanning process. Tumor differs with it is shape, size and location they may appear at different places with different intensities, therefore it is difficult to find the exact tumor in the brain. The proposed algorithm detects the tumor with high sensitivity and high specificity. The proposed algorithm also provides high value of the PPV. |
