Abstract

The area of real time surveillance is the common interest of researchers nowadays due to advancement in technology and thus the amount of work which can be done in it is still huge. The main objective here was to detect the moving object in a video and then to classify the corresponding incoming frames accordingly if it consists of moving object or not using naïve bayes classifier. This type of classification helps in frame by frame analysis of the video and can be used to give better result for classification. The main focus was on naïve bayes classifier which was successfully implemented on a video. The performance of the methodology is found to be 93.64% accurate and has precision of 93.77% with an error rate of 7.9%.
