Abstract

Liquid fuels like petrol, diesel, kerosene which is being used in large quantities in transport, agriculture, Industrial, commercial and domestic sector. Increasing environmental awareness and depletion of resources are driving industry to develop variable alternative fuel from renewable resources that are environmentally most acceptable. Among the many alternative fuels biodiesel are considered are more desirable fuel, waste cooking oil and vegetable oil is potential candidate. The world is facing problems with the twin crises of fuel depletion and environmental degradation. The indiscriminate extraction & consumption of fossil fuels have led to reduce in petroleum reserve. Alternative fuel, conservation of energy and management, energy efficiency and environmental protection have become important in recent years. The properties of fuel like flash point, calorific value, kinematic viscosity, carbon residue, specific gravity were found. The performance of the waste cooking oil, vegetable oil can be improved by some modifying them through the transesterification process. The increasing import bill has necessitated the search in present study efforts can be made to investigation the performance characteristics of diesel blended Undi biodiesel in VCR compression ignition engine, this work also includes the combustion analysis and Emission modeling.
